What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WINDMILL LANE AND A4140 HIGH ROAD, BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Windmill Lane, Bushey Heath from its junction with A4140 High Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.

An alternative route will be via A4140 High Road, A411 Elstree Road, Clay Lane and Windmill Lane

or A4140 High Road, A409 (Magpie Hall Road/Heathbourne Road), Clay Lane and Windmill Lane.

2. the eastbound carriageway of A4140 High Road, Bushey Heath from its junction with The Rutts south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via A4140 High Road, A411 Elstree Road, Clay Lane, A409 (Heathbourne Road/Magpie Hall Road) and A4140 High Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MERRY HILL ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Merry Hill Road, Bushey from its junction with A411 Sparrows Herne south westwards to its junction with Linnet Close, a distance of approximately 68m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A411 Sparrows Herne, School Lane and Merry Hill Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DEVEREUX DRIVE, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to

make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length

of Devereux Drive, Watford from a point in line with the south

eastern boundary of No.17 Devereux Drive north westwards to

a point in line with the north western boundary of No.34 Devereux

Drive, a distance of approximately 80m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Devereux Drive, Langley Way,

Harford Drive and Devereux Drive.

The Order is needed because sewer repair works are proposed

to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November

2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions

specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on

or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE A41 EASTBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING ONTO THE EASTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY OF A41 NORTH

WESTERN AVENUE, WOODSIDE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A41 eastbound slip road leading onto the eastbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside from its junction with the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, a distance of approximately 405m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via the A405 North Orbital Road roundabout, A41 North Western Avenue (westbound), the A41 Hempstead Road/A411 Hempstead Road roundabout and A41 North Western Avenue (eastbound). ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUCKINGHAM ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Buckingham Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Penscroft Gardens north westwards for a distance of approximately 18m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Buckingham Road, Norfolk Gardens and Buckingham Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHEEPCOT LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of Sheepcot Lane, Watford from a point 47m south east of its junction with A405 North Orbital Road north westwards to its junction with A405 North Orbital Road, a distance of approximately 47m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Sheepcot Lane, A412 St Albans Road, A41 North Western Avenue and A405 North Orbital Road or via Sheepcot Lane, A412 St Albans Road and A405 St Albans Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN LOVE LANE, ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Love Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with Bedmond Road north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HATFIELD ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hatfield Road, Watford from its junction with Bradshaw Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 148m ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on

13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GATESHEAD ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gateshead Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Grove Road north eastwards to its junction with Aycliffe Road, a distance of approximately 153m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Gateshead Road, Leeming Road and Aycliffe Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.16-32 LITTLE OXHEY LANE, SOUTH OXHEY AND B4542 LITTLE OXHEY LANE, CARPENDERS PARK) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. the service road fronting Nos.16-32 Little Oxhey Lane, South Oxhey from its westernmost junction with B4542 Little Oxhey Lane southwards, eastwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 81m.

An alternative route will be via B4542 Little Oxhey Lane.

2. that length of B4542 Little Oxhey Lane, Carpenders Park from its junction with A4008 Oxhey Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 631m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 (Oxhey Lane/Pinner Road), A4125 (Eastbury Road/ Hampermill Lane) and B4542 (Brookdene Avenue/Prestwick Road/Little Oxhey Lane) or via B4542 (Little Oxhey Lane/Prestwick Road/Brookdene Avenue), A4125 Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A411 Chalk Hill and A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road/Oxhey Lane). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on

14 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However

the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times

indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE GOSSAMERS, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the

above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath

situated on the west side of The Gossamers, Watford from a point

10m north west of its junction with Phillipers north westwards for

a distance of approximately 30m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the west

side of The Gossamers, the footway situated on the north side of

Phillipers, the footway situated on the east side of Amwell Close,

the footpath fronting Nos.2-6 Amwell Close and the footpath

situated on the west side of The Gossamers.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works

are proposed to be executed near the Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on

13 November 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However

the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times

indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KING STREET, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of King Street, Watford from its junction with High Street south westwards to its junction with St Marys View, a distance of approximately 36m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via High Street, A411 Exchange Road, Cambridge Road, Granville Road, The Crescent, Smith Street and King Street.

The Order is needed because telephone kiosk improvement and reinstatement works are proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BUSHEY) (20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a 20mph speed limit, which corrects a minor administrative error, in part of Bushey as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 13 November 2023. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are held on deposit and may be viewed from 10 November 2023 to 21 December 2023 during normal office hours at Main Reception, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford or may also be viewed online from 10 November 2023 at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Hertsmere and looking at Ref: H00723.
