Kingsbury Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic to Enable Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(7184943 KINGSBURY ROAD, ERDINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along:

KINGSBURY ROAD, both sides, from its junction with Bracken Road to its junction with Tyburn Road;

HOLLY LANE, from its junction with Tyburn Road to its junction with Wood Lane.

HOLLY LANE, from its junction with Kingsbury Road to its junction with Tyburn Road;

HOLLY LANE, from its junction with Kingsbury Road for a distance of 40 metres in a northerly direction; and, WOOD LANE, from its junction with Holly Road for a distance of 125 metres in a south westerly direction.

In addition, it will be necessary to prohibit any vehicle from travelling in a westerly direction along KINGSBURY ROAD, west bound carriageway, from its junction with Tyburn Road for a distance of 130 metres in an easterly direction.

The Temporary Order is required to enable resurfacing works to be carried out in safety in the carriageway of the above road.

The proposed prohibition and restriction shall apply only during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1st December 2023 and will remain in force for a period of FOUR WEEKS or until the works are complete, whichever is the sooner.
