Town Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(TOWN LANE, MUCH HOOLE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Town Lane, Much Hoole from its boundary with Brooklands for 10 metres in either direction.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 27th November 2023 until 1700 hours on Monday 4th December 2023 or until completion of the works within this period. Access to be maintained wherever and whenever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Town Lane - Smithy Lane - Moss House Lane - Carr Lane - Doles Lane
North Road - Liverpool Road - Liverpool Old Road - Town Lane.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow new cable connection works to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity Northwest.
