Grizedale Crescent - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING SCHEME, RIBBLETON, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of roads in Ribbleton, Preston in their entirety as follows: -
Grizedale Crescent, Thornley Road, Thornley Place, Sawley Crescent, Slaidburn Road, Slaidburn Place, Whitmore Drive, Whitmore Grove, Whitmore Place, Hareden Road, Greenthorn Crescent, Marl Hill Crescent, Parlick Road, Birkett Drive, Bowland Road, Bowland Place, Hazelhurst Road, Burholme Road, Burholme Place, Burholme Close, Langden Drive,
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily when indicated by signage placed on the highway as set out in the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Direction from 0800 hours until 1800 hours on 21st November 2023 until 1st December 2023 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be signed locally: -
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow Lancashire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
