HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FISHERS GREEN, STEVENAGE) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fishers Green, Stevenage from its junction with Sheringham Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Fishers Green, Julians Road, A602 (Lytton Way/Hitchin Road), A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, Clovelly Way and Fishers Green

or via Fishers Green, Clovelly Way, A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A602 (Hitchin Road/Lytton Way/High Street/James Way/Lytton Way), Julians Road and Fishers Green.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BEDFORD ROAD, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bedford Road, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Wilbury Hills Road south eastwards to its junction with Icknield Way, a distance of approximately 1113m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Wilbury Hills Road, Stotfold Road, A505 (Cambridge Road/Hitchin Road), Broadway, Station Place, Bridge Road and Icknield Way.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MAIDEN STREET/HALLS GREEN, WESTON) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Maiden Street/Halls Green, Weston from its junction with Fore Street north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Weston Public Bridleway No.014, a distance of approximately 971m ("the length of Roads").

An alternative route will be via Damask Green Road, Weston Road, Calder Way, Orwell Avenue, Great Ashby Way, Canterbury Way, A1072 Martins Way, A1155 Verity Way, B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road/High Street/White Hill), C14 (unnamed road) and Halls Green.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOLWELL ROAD, PIRTON) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Holwell Road, Pirton from its junction with West Lane north eastwards to its junction with Waterloo Lane, a distance of approximately 1314m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via West Lane, Shillington Road, Priors Hill, Hitchin Road, B655 Pirton Road, A505 (Upper Tilehouse Street/Old Park Road/Bedford Road), A600 Bedford Road, Holwell Road and Waterloo Lane

or via Waterloo Lane, Holwell Road, A600 Bedford Road, A505 (Bedford Road/Paynes Park/Upper Tilehouse Street), B655 Pirton Road, Hitchin Road, Priors Hill, Shillington Road and West Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GARDINERS LANE, ASHWELL) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gardiners Lane, Ashwell from its junction with Swan Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Gardiners Lane, High Street, Lucas Lane, Station Road, Ashwell Road, Northfield Road, Elbrook Lane and Gardiners Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE AND ASTON) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Colestrete, Stevenage from its junction with Six Hills Way north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Bedwell Crescent, a distance of approximately 419m.

An alternative route will be via Six Hills Way, Homestead Moat, Cuttys Lane and Bedwell Crescent.

2. that length of Silam Road, Stevenage from its junction with Cuttys Lane north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A1155 Fairlands Way, a distance of approximately 429m.

An alternative route will be via Cuttys Lane and A1155 (St Georges Way/Fairlands Way).

3. that length of Broadwater Lane, Stevenage/Aston from its junction with the Gresley Way roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Aston Lane, a distance of approximately 857m.

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, B1037 Stevenage Road, High Street, Benington Road, Walkern Road, Benington Road and Broadwater Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARLESEY ROAD, ICKLEFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Arlesey Road, Ickleford from its junction with Ickleford Public Footpath No.024 south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Arlesey Road, Arlesey New Road, Wilbury Hills Road, Stotfold Road, A505 (Cambridge Road/ Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road), A600 Bedford Road, Turnpike Lane and Arlesey Road.

The Order is needed because railway bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1070 SIX HILLS WAY AND THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF A1070 SIX HILLS WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of road ("the lengths of Road"):-

a) the north eastbound carriageway of A1070 Six Hills Way, Stevenage from its easternmost junction with Kings Way north eastwards to its junction with the A602 Lytton Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 330m.

An alternative route will be via A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A1155 Fairlands Way and A602 Lytton Way.

b) the south westbound carriageway of A1070 Six Hills Way, Stevenage from its junction with the A602 Lytton Way/A602 Six Hills Way roundabout south westwards to its junction with Norton Road, a distance of approximately 255m.

An alternative route will be via A602 (Six Hills Way/Monkswood Way/Broadhall Way) and A1072 Gunnels Wood Road.

2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the south east side of A1070 Six Hills Way, Stevenage from its junction with Norton Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 158m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Norton Road, the footway situated on the north side of Norton Green Road, the footway situated on the east side of A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, the cycle track situated beneath A1070 Six Hills Way, the cycle track situated on the north east side of A1070 Six Hills Way and the cycle track situated beneath A1070 Six Hills Way.

The Order is needed because railway bridge maintenance works are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of Road and Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 November 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Road and Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B197 LONDON ROAD, BALDOCK AND DIAMOND END, KINGS WALDEN) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of B197 London Road, Baldock from its junction with Weston Way south westwards to its junction with the A505 Baldock Bypass roundabout, a distance of approximately 1203m.

An alternative route will be via B197 (London Road/High Street), B656 (Whitehorse Street/Royston Road) and A505 Baldock Bypass.

2. that length of Diamond End, Kings Walden from its junction with Lye Hill south westwards to its junction with Whiteway Bottom, a distance of approximately 730m.

An alternative route will be via Lye Hill and Whiteway Bottom. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (BEARTON ROAD, HITCHIN) (LOADING BAY) ORDER 2023

ROAD HUMPS AND PEDESTRIAN CROSSING NOTICE

(BEARTON ROAD AND PERIWINKLE LANE, HITCHIN) 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions and a loading bay restriction in parts of Hitchin as specified in Schedules 1, 2 and 3 of this Notice.

It is also proposed under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to construct a Zebra pedestrian crossing facility on that length of Bearton Road, Hitchin as specified in Schedule 4 to this Notice and under sections 90A - 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install flat topped and round topped road humps in those lengths of Bearton Road and Periwinkle Lane, Hitchin as specified in Schedule 5 to this Notice.

SCHEDULE 2: No waiting 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday - those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plans - Parts of Bearton Road and Periwinkle Lane.

SCHEDULE 3: Loading Bay - 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday limited to 1 hour waiting with no return within 2 hours - that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plans - Part of Bearton Road.

SCHEDULE 4: Zebra pedestrian crossing facility to be constructed on the raised speed table in Schedule 5 (e) - that section of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan - Part of Bearton Road, centred on a point 20 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 150 and 151 Bearton Road.

SCHEDULE 5: Flat topped and round topped road humps - those sections of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plans - Parts of Bearton Road and Periwinkle Lane.

Flat topped road humps - Bearton Road

from a point 21.5 metres west of a point in line with the boundary between 88 and 89 Bearton Road westwards for 8 metres.

from a point in line with the boundary between 66 and 67 Bearton Road eastwards for 8 metres.

from a point in line with the boundary between 53 and 54 Bearton Road eastwards for 8 metres.

from a point 16 metres east of a point in line with the east kerbline of Old Hale Way eastwards for 5 metres.

from a point 16.5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 150 and 151 Bearton Road eastwards for 6 metres.

The raised table will be constructed with the pedestrian crossing as stated in Schedule 4 to this Notice.

The flat topped road humps will be constructed at a height of approximately 75mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:15/1:10.

Round topped road humps - Bearton Road (a-d) and Periwinkle Lane (e-g)

from a point 2.5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 32 and 33 Bearton Road eastwards for 3.7 metres.

from a point 3.5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 129 and 130 Bearton Road eastwards for 3.7 metres.

from a point 3.5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 142 and 143 Bearton Road eastwards for 3.7 metres.

from a point 12.5 metres west of a point in line with the boundary between 3 and 4 Bearton Road westwards for 3.7 metres.

from a point 2.5 metres west of a point in line with the boundary between 51 and 52 Periwinkle Lane westwards for 3.7 metres.

from a point 7 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 42 and 43 Periwinkle Lane eastwards for 3.7 metres.

from a point 4 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between 28 and 29 Periwinkle Lane eastwards for 3.7 metres.

The round topped road humps will be constructed at a height of approximately 75mm above the existing carriageway.
