SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C720 MILL GREEN, EDWARDSTONE

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the C720 Mill Green, Eowardstone from no. 5 to Forge Cottage to facilitate electrical pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Mill Green, Park Comer, Church Street, Swan Street, Sherboume Street, Willow Corner and vice versa. It Is intended that the closure will operate on 22/11/2023 from 9.30am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain In force for 18 months (or longer If extended by the Minister). SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF ONEHOUSE) (FOOTPATH 22) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2021

This order, which came into effect on 17/06/2021 closing Footpath 22 has been extended in force by the Minister until 16/12/2024 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. This closure is required in the interests of public safety as a result of ongoing building work on the new development on or near the footpath. If the order had not been extended it would have ceased to be in force on 16/12/2023. The diversion route remains.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF BABERGH) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (NAYLAND) (HORKESLEY ROAD AND COURT STREET) (C756) PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING (VARIATION NO 20.) 202-

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1,2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, shall have effect as if set out in full in the 2019 order, save that revision 0 of the Map Tile bearing reference HR86 shall be replaced by the amended revision 1 of the Map Tile bearing the same references attached to this order. The effect of this will be to introduce new 'No Waiting At Any Time' on:

    • Court Street (C756) Nayland, from a point 19m northeast of the northeastern boundary of no. 26, travelling in a south-westerly distance for 38m (Junction with HorkesleyRoad)

    • Horkesley Road (C756) Nayland, from the Horkesley Road/ Court Street junction (located 19m southwest of the northeastern boundary of 26 Court Street) travelling in a south westly then westly direction for a distance of 118m.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload: for building industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or its services; for Blue Badge holders; for emergency services and to enable statutory duties to be fulfilled. A copy of the draft order and plans showing the road affected, together with a copy of the council's reasons for these proposals may be seen with advance notice at the address below 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday also at Colchester Library and Community Hub, Trinity Square, Colchester, Essex CO1 1JB Monday; 9am - 6.30pm; Tuesday; 9am - 6.30pm; Wednesday - Thursday; 9am - 6.30pm; Friday; 9am - 6.30pm; Saturday; 9am - 5.30pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm

A copy of the order and plans showing the road or roads affected together with a copy of the council's reasons for making the order can also be provided via email with requests for documents to be sent to: aishah.siddika@suffolk.gov.uk. Objections or any other representations related to the proposed waiting restrictions, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must reach Aisnah Sidoika, Suffolk County Council Legal Services at the address below or at: aishah.siddika@suffolk.gov.uk not later than 01/12/2023.
