The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Badger Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2023

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 20 November 2023 until 1830 hours on Friday 24 November 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Badger Lane, for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 2 2023

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 20 November 2023 until 1600 hours on Friday 24 November 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Palmerston Road between its junctions with Shanklin High Street and Cross Street. (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2023

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 2230 hours on Saturday 18 November 2023, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along St James Street between its junctions with High Street and Pyle Street. The closure is required for safety during Newport's Day of Christmas event. A further closure along Newport High Street between its junctions with St James Street and Coppins Bridge will occur between 1700 hours and 2230 hours to assist with safety during the Christmas lights switch on. The diversions will be signposted locally.
