What is happening?
THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
D301 Henfold Lane, South Holmwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D301 Henfold Lane, South Holmwood that extends from the northern side of its junction with Brookside, to the southern side of the access road to “Posterns Farm”.
This Traffic Order is required by Centurion Traffic Management and/or Network Rail to carry out examinations and/or maintenance and/or improvement works to “Henfold Lane Railway Bridge”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Blackbrook Road, Chart Lane South, A24 Deepdene Avenue, A24 Horsham Road, Newdigate Road (part of which is also known as “Thurbarns Hill”), Trig Street, Kingsland, Village Street and Henfold Lane.
B2030 Godstone Road and D1431 Timber Hill Road, Caterham Temporary Traffic Banned Turns Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- a) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on B2030 Godstone Road, Caterham from turning right into D1431 Timber Hill Road. b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a westerly direction on D1431 Timber Hill Road, Caterham from turning right into B2030 Godstone Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turns which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the alternative route:- Godstone Road, Crescent Road, and The Square.
The Platt (T10060) Dormansland (also known as Public Footpath No. 393b Dormansland)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Platt (T10060) Dormansland (also known as Public Footpath No. 393b Dormansland) as extends from its junction with the access to the properties known as “Springfield Cottages” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Plateau Bungalow”. Alternative Route – Public Footpath No. 393b Dormansland (also known as T10060 The Platt); D415 The Platt; and Public Footpath No. 393a Dormansland (also known as T10061 The Platt).
This Order, which will commence on 13 November 2023 for a period of 6 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: Drainage improvement and/or any other associated works. Works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible over 19 days within the 6-month operational period of this Order. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for residents to premises within the affected length of the footpath will be maintained at all times, if necessary, via the diversion route. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access for through traffic through the closure area whilst works are in progress and all through traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Monks Lane (D432) Edenbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 8 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Monks Lane (D432) Edenbridge which extends from its junction with Guildables Lane to its junction with the access road leading to Capers Farm, and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable BT to carry out pole replacement works and/or telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8am and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Monks Lane, Grants Lane, Itchingwood Common Road, Guildables Lane and Monks Lane.
Langshott (D336) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Langshott (D336) Horley as extends from its junction with (X9214) Jubilee Close to its junction with Langshott to the Fieldings Townpath (T3000) Horley.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights between the hours of 8pm and 4am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Clayhall Lane (C223) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 8 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Clayhall Lane (C223) Reigate which extends from its junction with Flanchford Road to its junction with Park Lane. This Order is required to enable BT to carry out telegraph pole testing works and/or telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route 1 – Flanchford Road, A25 West Street/London Road/Castlefield Road/Church Street, Bancroft Road, A217 Bell Street/Cockshot Hill, Park Lane East and Clayhall Lane. Alternative Route 2 – Park Lane East, A217 Cockshot Hill/Bell Street, A25High Street/West Street, Flanchford Road and Clayhall Lane.
B2033 Tot Hill, Headley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of B2033 Tot Hill, Headley.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out pole testing and/or cabling and/ or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Leech Lane, Mill Way, Reigate Road, By-Pass Road, Dorking Road, London Road, Mickle By-Pass, London Road, Deepdene Avenue, Reigate Road, Station Road, Pebble Hill Road, Headley Common Road and Tot Hill.
D2585 Hawkwood Rise, Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2585 Hawkwood Rise, Bookham that extends from its junction with A246 Guildford Road, to the southern side of its junction with D2585 Hawkwood Dell. 2. “The County Council of Surrey (Various Roads in Effingham) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983” shall be suspended insofar as imposes the 7.5 Tonne environmental weight restriction in The Street, Effingham.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks/I&G Contractors Limited to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm (Monday - Friday), within 12 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension, which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Lower Road, The Street and Guildford Road.
Kings Mill Lane (D355) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kings Mill Lane (D355) South Nutfield as extends from its junction with (D381) Kings Cross Lane to its junction with the boundary of the property known as “Dalma House”.
Alternative Route: Kings Cross Lane, Crab Hill Lane, Moats Lane, Prince of Wales Road, Green Lane, Axes Lane, Masons Bridge Road, Kings Mill Lane (Redhill), and Kings Mill Lane (South Nutfield), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new water mains connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
