D628 Little Orchard Way, Shalford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D628 Little Orchard Way, Shalford. This Traffic Order is required to enable Clancy/Gigaclear to carry out ducting for fibre optic connection and/or cabling and/or maintenance works in D628 Little Orchard Way, between the northern side of its junction with D628 Oaklands Close, and the south-eastern property boundary of “No.17 Little Orchard Way”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or preventing the likelihood of such danger arising. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of excavations via the alternative route:- Poplar Road, Chinthurst Lane and Summersbury Drive.
A244 Cadbury Road, A244 Chertsey Road, C233 Chertsey Road and C233 Groveley Road, Sunbury on Thames
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- a) C233 Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Cadbury Road, to the north-eastern side of the north-eastern roundabout junction with the “BP International” access roads. Alternative route – C233 Chertsey Road, Staines Road West and Cadbury Road. b) A244 Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with C233 Chertsey Road, to the boundary of Surrey County Council with The London Borough of Hounslow. Alternative route – Cadbury Road, Staines Road West, School Road, Convent Road, Feltham Road, Ashford Road and Chertsey Road. c) C233 Groveley Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Cadbury Road, to the western side of its junction with D6313 King Georges Close.
Alternative route – Groveley Road, Vicarage Road, Staines Road West and Cadbury Road. d) A244 Cadbury Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with C233 Groveley Road, to the northern side of the access to “142 Cadbury Road”. Alternative route – Cadbury Road, Staines Road West, School Road, Convent Road, Feltham Road, Ashford Road and Chertsey Road. 2.a) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a north-easterly direction on C233 Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames from turning left into A244 Chertsey Road.
Alternative Route – Cadbury Road (A244), Staines Road West (A308) and Cadbury Road (A244). b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on A244 Cadbury Road, Sunbury on Thames from turning left into C233 Chertsey Road. Alternative Route – A244 Chertsey Road, Ashford Road, Feltham Road, Convent Road, School Road, Staines Road and C233 Chertsey Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to provide signalised pedestrian/cycle crossing facilities and/or carry out associated works to include – kerbing, installing street furniture and markings and/or resurfacing and/or highway maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases within 10 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions which are anticipated may be required for 24 hours each day during certain phases of the works, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
C43 The Street, Effingham
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023
Further to the issue of a Notice under Section 14(2) and (7) of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“The Act”), on 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of “the Act”, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time in the entire length of C43 The Street, Effingham. 2. Suspend “The County Council of Surrey (Various Roads in Effingham) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983” insofar as imposes the 7.5 Tonne environmental weight restriction in The Street, Effingham.
This Temporary Order is required by J Browne Construction to facilitate the necessary vehicular diversion route for trunk main renewal and/or water mains connection and/or maintenance works in Ockham Road South, East Horsley, to be carried out on behalf of Affinity Water under “The Surrey County Council Ockham Road South, East Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” which commenced on 24 July 2023. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 12 month period of operation of the Temporary Order, which commences on 12 November 2023 and which continues in force the restrictions imposed by “The Surrey County Council C43 The Street, Effingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2023” that commenced on 31/10/2023, for a period of 21 days.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary waiting restrictions and suspension which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency and any vehicle being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the temporary waiting restrictions described in part 1. above. The usual exemptions for Post Office vehicles when delivering or collecting postal packets, vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control, to pick up and set down passengers, to load and unload goods, to carry out essential services and works or when used by local authorities in pursuance of statutory powers or duties and for furniture removals and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer, will apply when the temporary waiting restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
Dorrit Crescent (D629) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dorrit Crescent (D629) Guildford as extends from its junction with (C15) Broad Street to a point in line with the common boundary between No.30 and No.31 Dorrit Crescent.
Alternative Route: Dorrit Crescent, and Broad Street. This Order is required to facilitate installation/ removal of underground cabling works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Westway (D4001) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Westway (D4001) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4001) Aldershot Road to its junction with (D4001) Hillspur Road; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Westway (D4001) Guildford and Aldershot Road (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Westway, Southway, and (A323) Aldershot Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh. Alternative Route: The Green, (B2127) The Street, (B2127) Ockley Road, and North Breache Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone. This Order is required to facilitate installation/removal/replacement of underground cabling works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Benbrick Road (D4019) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 8 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Benbrick Road (D4019) Guildford. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate zebra crossing construction works and/or maintenance works, which is anticipated to be carried out within 4 weeks, between 8am and 5pm on weekdays and between 8am and 4pm on Saturdays, as soon as possible within the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence 13 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route – The Chase, The Oval, Stag Hill and Alresford Road.
Church Road (D6805) Long Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 8 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D6805) Long Ditton which extends from its junction with Ditton Hill Road and Chalcott Gardens. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate main installation works and/or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 10 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times and if necessary by way of road plates. Alternative Route – Ditton Hill Road, Fleece Road and Rectory Lane.
Various Roads in Waverley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.8) 2023
On 08 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order, which will commence on 20 November 2023 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: carriageway/footway patching and/or carriageway/footway surface dressing and/or carriageway/footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
Schedule
(a) The entire length of Fisher Lane (D161) Chiddingfold. Alternative Route: Plaistow Road, Chiddingfold Road, High Street Green, and Pickhurst Road, or this route in reverse.
(b) The entire length of Stroud Lane (D195) Shamley Green. Alternative Route: (B2128) Stroud Common, and Woodhill Lane, or this route in reverse.
(c) The entire length of Home Farm Road (D5407) Godalming. Alternative Route: (B2130) Brighton Road, Hambledon Road, The Drive, Park Road, Tuesley Lane, and Quartmile Road, or this route in reverse.
D3680 Goose Rye Road and D3686 Burdenshott Road, Worplesdon
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3680 Goose Rye Road and D3686 Burdenshott Road, Worplesdon. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to access the underground network and/or to carry out cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works in D3680 Goose Rye Road, from its junction with D3686 Burdenshott Road, for a distance of 200m, and D3686 Burdenshott Road, from its junction with D3680 Goose Rye Road for a distance of 200m in a southward direction. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes:- For Goose Rye Road:- Rickford, Bagshot Road, Berry Lane, Smarts Heath Road and Smarts Heath Lane. For Burdenshott Road:- Smarts Heath Lane, Smarts Heath Road, Egley Road and Guildford Road.
D3313 Vicarage Lane, Laleham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3313 Vicarage Lane, Laleham. This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water mains service pipe repairs and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in D3313 Vicarage Lane, Laleham between the south-western property boundary of “No.6 Vicarage Lane” and “Howick, Vicarage Lane” from 8am to 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Thames Side and Ferry Lane.
B2130 Dunsfold Road, Loxhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B2130 Dunsfold Road, Loxhill that extends from its junction with D173 Hook House Lane, to the western side of its junction with C33 Dunsfold Common Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable HRG Tree Surgeons to carry out tree felling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out from 9am to 4:30pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- Godalming Road, The Street, Hascombe Road, Brighton Road, Flambard Way, Bridge Road, Meadrow, Guildford Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Broadford Road, then left onto Horsham Road, around the roundabout to return southwards on Horsham Road, to Barrihurst Lane and Dunsfold Road.
The Drive (D698)/Hill Close (D698) Wonersh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of roads:- (a) that length of The Drive (D698) Wonersh which extends from its junction with the north-eastern arm of Hill Close to the property boundary line between “Pinehurst” and “Rosiers”; and (b) the entire length of Hill Close (D698) Wonersh. Alternative Route: There is no diversion route possible for this road closure.
The Order is required to allow Clancy Docwra to carry out telecom connection work, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place for 24 hours per day.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for residents and businesses during the working hours. Outside the working hours, access to premises will be maintained by way of road plates/boards. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of roads above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Victoria Avenue (D6951) West Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Victoria Avenue (D6951) West Molesey as extends from its junction with (D6951) Thames Meadow to its junction with (D6952) Buckingham Avenue. This Order is required to facilitate telecom maintenance works for, or on behalf of Clearview Services Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 dates, starting 06 December 2023 for 1 day and 19 December 2023 for 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Polesden Lane (D236) Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Polesden Lane (D236) Ripley as extends from its junction with (B367) Newark Lane to its junction with (D235) Tannery Lane. Alternative Route: (B367) Newark Lane, (B2215) High Street, (B2215) Portsmouth Road, (B368) Send Marsh Road, Send Marsh Green, and Polesden Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new telegraph poles, aerial cabling and tree cutting works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
The Mount (D4016) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Mount (D4016) Guildford as extends from its junction with (A3100) Portsmouth Road to its junction with (D4016) Wodeland Avenue. Alternative Route: (1) Wodeland Avenue, Wherwell Road, (A31) Farnham Road, (A322) Bridge Street, (A322) Onslow Street, (A3100) Park Street, and (A3100) Portsmouth Road; and (2) (A3100) Portsmouth Road, (A3100) Park Street, (A31) Farnham Road, Wherwell Road, and Wodeland Avenue. This Order is required to facilitate the removal of vegetation works for, or on behalf of Dyer & Butler. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
