Hagg Bridge - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(HAGG BRIDGE, SUTTON UPON DERWENT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed over Hagg Bridge, Sutton Upon
Derwent. The reason for the closure is to enable the
proposed carriageway resurfacing works, to be carried
out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed between Monday 13 November 2023
and Friday 1 December 2023. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the Order is via Hagg Lane, the road from
Hagg Lane to General Lane, Main Street, Melbourne Road,
Hodsow Lane Roundabout, York Road, Sutton Lane,
The Street, Sandhill Lane and Common Lane.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic. The Order will
commence 13 November 2023 and continue in force for
a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed,
whichever is the earlier. Further information can be
