Cushy Cow Lane - Temporary Road Restrictions For Traffic Calming Installation Works
What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that on the 8 November 2023 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Cushy Cow Lane from its junction with Ingleborough Drive in a south easterly direction to its junction with Croft Close for a distance of 240 metres.
The Order is required to allow traffic calming installation works to be carried out.
The Order will come into force on the 14 November 2023. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months, however the works are expected to be completed by the 18 November 2023.
During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the lengths of highway above until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the works there will be a signed diversion in place.
