Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
BROADWATER DOWN, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS TN2 5NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow remedial reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Broadwater Down, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 15th November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of The Little House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Broadwater Down, A267 Frant Road, Broadwater Down and vice versa.
EASTWELL CLOSE, PADDOCK WOOD TN12 6UR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow underground cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Eastwell Close, Paddock Wood, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Concord Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residential access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.
FOXHOLE LANE, MATFIELD TN12 7ES (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Foxhole Lane, Matfield, on or after 14th November 2023 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Chestnut Lane to outside Tanglewood, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Foxhole Lane, Bramble Reed Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, Chestnut Lane and vice versa.
HAWKENBURY ROAD, TUNBRIDGE WELLS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 22nd November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Hawkenbury Farm House for 300 metres east, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hawkenbury Road, Benhall Mill Road, Forest Road, Hawkenbury Road and vice versa.
HAYESDEN LANE, BIDBOROUGH, TN3 0LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hayesden Lane, Bidborough, on or after 28th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09;30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with B2176 Penshurst Road and Ensifled Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hayesden Lane, Gate Farm Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road and vice versa.
IDEN GREEN ROAD, STANDEN STREET & WOODCOCK LANE, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Cranbrook.
WORKS PROGRAMME
Iden Green Road, Cranbrook
Iden Green Road will be closed from 13th November 2023, with estimated completion by 17th November 2023.
The road will be closed from outside Beech Cottage to the junction with Mill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Regent Street, A28 High Street, A28 Hastings Road, A268 Rye Road, A268 Queen Street, Sponden Lane, Mill Street, Iden Green Road and vice versa.
Standen Street, Cranbrook
Standen Street will be closed from 20th November 2023, with estimated completion by 24th November 2023.
The road will be closed from the junctions with Iden Green Road, Mill Street and Coldharbour Road to the junction with Woodcock Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Ramsden Lane, Woodcock Lane, Iden Green Road and vice versa.
Woodcock Lane, Cranbrook
Woodcock Lane will be closed from 27th November 2023, with estimated completion by 1st December 2023.
The road will be closed at the junction with Standen Street to outside The Woodcock Pub, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Woodcock Lane, Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Ramsden Lane, Woodcock Lane and vice versa.
WATER LANE, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Water Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 29th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Cover Cottage to the entrance of Tilden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road, Water Lane and vice versa.
WHETSTED ROAD, TONBRIDGE TN12 6RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Whetsted Road, Tonbridge, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Ploggs Hall, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Whetsted Road, A228 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
