GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A5 (MAN I’R GORLLEWIN O LANGOLLEN, SIR DDINBYCH) (TERFYN CYFLYMDER 40 MYA) 2023
MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn drwy arfer eu pwerau o dan adrannau 84(1)(a), (2) a 124(1)(d) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984, a pharagraff 27 o Atodlen 9 iddi. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 10 Tachwedd 2023.
Effaith y Gorchymyn yw cyflwyno terfyn cyflymder 40 mya ar y darn o gefnffordd yr A5 sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 231 o fetrau i’r dwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B5103 ym Merwyn, man i’r gorllewin o Langollen, Sir Ddinbych hyd at bwynt 1,537 o fetrau i’r dwyrain o ganolbwynt y gyffordd honno.
Diben cyflwyno’r terfyn cyflymder 40 mya yw gwella diogelwch ar y ffordd drwy greu parth clustogi rhwng y darn o gefnffordd yr A5 sydd ar hyn o bryd yn ddarostyngedig i derfyn cyflymder cenedlaethol 60 mya a’r terfyn cyflymder 20 mya drwy dref Llangollen.
Mae Gorchymyn Cefnffordd yr A5 (Berwyn Road, Llangollen, Sir Ddinbych) (Codi Cyfyngiadau) 2002 (O.S. 2002/1291 (Cy. 128)) wedi ei ddirymu.

THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (WEST OF LLANGOLLEN, DENBIGHSHIRE)
(40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023
THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order in exercise of their powers under sections 84(1)(a), (2) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which comes into force on 10 November 2023.
The effect of the Order is to introduce a 40 mph speed limit on the length of the A5 trunk road that extends from a point 231 metres east of the centre-point of its junction with the B5103 at Berwyn, west of Llangollen, Denbighshire to a point 1,537 metres east of the centre-point of that junction.
The introduction of the 40 mph speed limit is intended to improve road safety by creating a buffer zone between the length of the A5 trunk road which is currently subject to a 60 mph national speed limit and the 20mph speed limit through the town of Llangollen.
The A5 Trunk Road (Berwyn Road, Llangollen, Denbighshire) (De-Restriction) Order 2002
(S.I. 2002/1291 (W. 128)) is revoked.
