What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

Tonbridge and Malling

B2246 HERMITAGE LANE, AYLESFORD ME16 9NS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out under a Section 278 agreement, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2246 Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 2 nights between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with 149 Hermitage Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via B2246 Hermitage Lane, A20 London Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2246 Hermitage Lane and vice versa.

CANON LANE, WATERINGBURY ME18 5PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Canon Lane, Wateringbury, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 229, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end.

COMMON ROAD, IGHTHAM, TN15 9AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow pole installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Common Road, Ightham, on or after 27th November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Birch Cottage to outside Braeswood, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Common Road, Back Lane, A227 Tonbridge Road, A227 Bates Hill, Sevenoaks Road, A25 Ightham Bypass and vice versa.

HIGH STREET, SNODLAND, ME6 5DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow gully connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 20th November 2023 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Stevens Close and Malling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site

The alternative route is via High Street, Birling Road, St Katherines Lane, Malling Road and vice versa.

MACKENDERS CLOSE, AYLESFORD ME20 7FP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Mackenders Close, Aylesford, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 5 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residential access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.

OLD COACH ROAD, WROTHAM TN15 7NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Coach Road, Wrotham, on or after 16th November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Barely Brow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residential access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.

SANDY LANE, WROTHAM HEATH, TN15 7RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandy Lane, Wrotham Heath, on or after 27th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A20 London Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sandy Lane, Ford Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.

THE HEATH, EAST MALLING, ME19 6JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow overhead works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Heath, East Malling, on or after 30th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Chapel Street for 150 metres north west, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via The Heath, Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, Mill Street, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road, Pikey Lane and vice versa.

WELL STREET, WEST MALLING ME19 6JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Well Street, West Malling, on or after 28th November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Stickens Lane for 40 metres south east, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Well Street, Pikey Lane, Broadwater Road and vice versa.
