What is happening?

Amendment Order 2023
Devon County Council made this on 8 November
to come into force 16 November to amend Devon
County Council (Wonford Road, Exeter) (Prohibition
of All Vehicles) Order 2022. The amendment adds an
exemption to the Prohibition of all vehicles except
buses & cycles restriction to allow taxis & private hire
vehicles displaying bus lane user signs to proceed in
Wonford Road at 11 metres southeast of Deepdene
Park. Orders, plan & statement of reasons may be
seen at devon.cc/tro. Free bookable computer use is
available during the opening hours of Devon Libraries.
Documents are also available to view during normal
office hours at the address below. The Council will
consider whether the provisions should continue
indefinitely & anyone may object to the making of a
permanent order within 6 months from 16 November
or if the order is subsequently varied by another order
or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act
within 6 months of that variation or modification coming
into force. Objections stating the grounds on which
they are made & other comments must be in writing
to the address below or via devon.cc/tro. Receipt of
submissions may not be acknowledged but those
received will be considered. If you make a submission
be aware that comments will be anonymised prior to
being sent to Highway & Traffic Orders Committee
(HATOC) members for consideration or being
published on our website. Data may be shared within
the Council & our partner agencies. Personal details
will be kept confidential in line with the notice at
devon.cc/troprivacy & will only be shared in
accordance with the terms of that Notice or to comply
with our legal obligations. If you wish to question the
validity of the order or of any of its provisions because it
or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of
that Act or any instrument made under it has not been
complied with, you may within 6 weeks from the date
on which the order was made apply to the High Court
for this purpose.
