Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

B2080 STATION ROAD, SNARGATE & B2080 STATION ROAD, APPLEDORE (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of B2080 Station Road, Snargate & B2080 Station Road, Appledore, on or after 15th November 2023 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The 30MPH speed limit will be imposed from Gate House to Station Villas. The approaches and exits to this area will have a mandatory 40MPH speed limit imposed. The speed limits will be imposed between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

COCK ASH LANE, MONKS HORTON TN25 6EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cock Ash Lane, Monks Horton, on or after 30th November 2023 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Broad Street and Moorstock Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broad Street, Blind House Lane, Swan Lane, Moorstock Lane and vice versa.

LYMBRIDGE GREEN, STOWTING COMMON TN25 6BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lymbridge Green, Stowting Common, on or after 27th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Lymbridge Green Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

ORGARSWICK AVENUE, DYMCHURCH TN29 0PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Orgarswick Avenue, Dymchurch, on or after 29th November 2023 for up to 9 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A259 High Street and Eastbridge Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Eastbridge Road, Mill Road, A259 High Street and vice versa.

WENHAMS LANE, OLD ROMNEY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wenhams Lane, Old Romney, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 84 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A259 Rhee Wall, A259 Lydd Road, Five Vents Lane, Ashford Road, Ivychurch Road and vice versa.

IN THE DISTRICT OF FOLKESTONE & HYTHE

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, FOLKESTONE AND HYTHE)(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021 (AMENDMENT 20)

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL intend to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The Order will revise parking and waiting restrictions in the following road in Hythe for inclusion in the Zone T2 Controlled Parking Zone;

• Marine Walk Street

Between 8am and 6pm Mondays - Sundays (including bank and public holidays), parking will restricted to Permit Holders only.

Permits will be available to a resident of the road mentioned in the second paragraph of this Notice, and any business or organisation with vehicle(s) essential to its operation.

Waiting will be prohibited at all times in any part of the roads mentioned in the second paragraph of this Notice where parking is not allowed.

Full details are contained in the draft Order, which together with the relevant drawings, a copy of any orders which will be amended by the proposed Order, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at The Council Offices, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone or by email request.
