Mill Street, Brierley Hill - Temporary One way Traffic

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) (MILL STREET, BRIERLEY HILL) ORDER 2023

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make a temporary Order to safely facilitate improvements to the Public Highway and public space including changes of layout and resurfacing in Mill Street, Brierley Hill. The effects of which will be to prohibit: - (a) All vehicles proceeding in a northbound direction on; Mill Street from the junction of Venture Way to the junction of High Street (b) All vehicles proceeding in a southbound direction on; Mill Street from the junction of High Street to the Junction of Venture Way At such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed. The Order would apply at 08:00 hours on Monday 20th November 2023. It is anticipated that the works would be completed by Tuesday 2nd July 2024. The Order would remain valid for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. Traffic will be diverted and controlled as directed on site by the use of traffic signs. Restrictions will not both be in force at the same time. Exemptions would be provided for: - a. anything done with the permission or at the direction of a civil enforcement officer in uniform; b. emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; c. any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works.7 Any queries on the temporary restrictions imposed, should be made on (01384) 815453.
