Southend-On-Sea, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

What is happening?

SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, ENTRY, WAITING, LOADING, UNLOADING, PARKING AND ONE-WAY TRAFFIC SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC & INTRODUCTION OF TWO-WAY TRAFFIC (ETTO3024) ORDER 2023

(REMEMBERANCE SUNDAY 2023)

Notice is given that Southend-on-Sea City Council propose to make the above Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to facilitate holding the Remembrance Day events in Southend-on-Sea, Shoeburyness and Leigh-on-Sea. The Order comes into force on Sunday 12th November 2023.

The effect of this Order is to introduce:

1. Prohibition of traffic, entry, waiting, loading, unloading, one-way traffic and parking on the roads, which are included in the Principal Event Route, locations stated in Table 1 (Southend-on-Sea), Table 2 (Shoeburyness) and Table 3 (Leigh-on-Sea).

2. Suspension of one-way traffic and make two-way working on the roads, which are included in the Principal Event Route, stated in Table 1 (Southend-on-Sea).

3. The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs. The diversions and the traffic management controls being applied will be as instructed on-street.

Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles, official event vehicles and pedestrians.

Any vehicle in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a penalty charge notice and removed or relocated.
