(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Crane and MEWP works to carry out essential scaffolding installation to City Exchange for urgent repairs Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Lower Basinghall Street, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward or Albion Street, Leeds, in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward, between its junctions with Commercial Street and Boar Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by the closures will be available via: Albion Street (vehicles) – Albion Place, King Edward Street, Vicar Lane, New Market Street, Duncan Street. Albion Street (pedestrians) – Commercial Street, Briggate, Boar Lane. Lower Basinghall Street (pedestrians) – Bond Street, Albion Street, Boar Lane. Essential access to and from premises will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 13th November 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Thursday 30th November 2023. The closure on Albion Street will be in place Monday-Thursday, between 19:00 and 07:00 hrs. The closure on Lower Basinghall Street will be in place Thursday-Friday, between 19:00 and 07:00 hrs.
