CROYDON COUNCIL DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - SCHEDULE 230
The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No.25) Order 2023 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.25) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 30 October 2023 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders will be to designate a new parking place at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following location.
Lomond Gardens, South Croydon - Outside No. 33 and partially across the frontage of No. 32
2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 06 November 2023, and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further informationcan be requested by email to Parkina.Desiqn@crovdon.qov.uk.
3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4 (7) OF SCHEDULE 5 THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 WELLESLEY ROAD & BEDFORD PARK. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate manhole chamber survey works in the tramway by FM Conway, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Wellesley Road and Bedford Park, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Vehicles proceeding in Wellesley Road will be banned from turning right into Bedford Park.
b) The dedicated right-hand turn lane on the west side of Wellesley Road will be closed between a point opposite the junction with Station Road and the junction with Bedford Park.
3. Whilst the restrictions are in force the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be to continue northwards along Wellesley Road at its junction with Poplar Walk, following the one-way system around Newgate to Wellesley Road (southbound) and Bedford Park.
4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
5. The Order will come into operation on 06 November 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight between 1 am and 4am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further work be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 EDRIDGE ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to remove an antenna from a building, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Edridge Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Edridge Road will be closed at its junction with The Croydon Flyover.
b) One-way working in Edridge Road will be suspended between its junctions with The Croydon Flyover and Mason's Avenue to allow two-way traffic.
3. During the closure the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via The Croydon Flyover and Lower Coombe Street.
4. The Order will come into operation on 19 November 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out on two separate dates - 19 November and 03 December 2023. A back-up date of 10 December 2023 will apply if the work is delayed. The Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
KESTON ROAD. THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Keston Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Keston Road will be closed between the common boundary of Nos. 31 and 33 Keston Road and the south-eastern boundary of No. 37 Keston Road.
3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Curzon Road, Harcourt Road, Ramsey Road and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 20 November 2023, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further works are required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NORTHWOOD ROAD. THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate core defect rectification works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Northwood Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
a) Northwood Road will be closed outside Nos. 8 to 22 Northwood Road.
b) Parking on both sides of the road between No. 24 Northwood Road and the junction with Green Lane Gardens/Bensham Grove will be suspended and waiting restrictions will apply at any time.
3. The Order will come into operation on 22 November 2023, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
4. Whilst the closures are in force the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be via Green Lane, Virginia Road, Downsview Road, Beulah Hill and vice versa, or via Parchmore Road, High Street, Whitehorse Lane, South Norwood Hill, and Beulah Hill, or via Beulah Hill, Grange Road, High Street and Parchmore Road.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS TAVISTOCK ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate a drainage connection works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Tavistock Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Tavistock Road will be closed outside Tavistock Court.
3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via St James's Road, Newgate, Wellesley Road, Bedford Park, and Sydenham Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 16 November 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on approximately 22 November 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984. SECTION 16A AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER NEW ADDINGTON CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the switching on of the New Addington Christmas lights they intend to make a Traffic Order the effect of which will be to:
(a) temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding in Central Parade, New Addington.
(b) introduce waiting and loading restrictions operating "at any time" in the following locations:
(i) Overbury Crescent
(a) from its junction with Parkway south-westward for 100.00 metres.
(b) from its junction with the carriageway comprised in the roundabout at the junctions of Salcot Crescent, Arnhem Drive, Overbury Crescent and Central Parade south-westward for a distance of 100.00 metres.
(ii) The carriageway comprised in the roundabout at the junctions of Salcot Crescent, Arnhem Drive, Overbury Crescent and Central Parade
the south-east side, between its junctions with Arnhem Drive and Overbury Crescent
2. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force, the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Salcot Crescent and Overbury Crescent, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into effect on 25 November 2023 and will remain in force for approximately three hours from 5pm.
