What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - FALMER ROAD AND THE GREEN, ROTTINGDEAN

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Roac Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force;

These will be done in phases, shorter distances than detailed below

Which will be in effect as and when signed as follows:- Nighttime closures - 20:00 - 06:00 hours

(a) The temporary closure of Falmer Road, Rottingdean, from its junction with Ovingdean Road to its junction with The Green, except for access.

(b) The temporary closure of The Green, Rottingdean, from its junction with Falmer Road, to its junction with the High Street, Northbound and Southbound, except for access.

(c) To maintain access during the temporary closure of The Green, Rottingdean, it is necessary to suspend the One-way Traffic Order on The Green, Rottingdean, for its entire length.

2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out Carriageway Resurfacing works.

3. Pedestrian access willbe maintained, and a diversion will be in place for vehicular traffic as signed.

4. This Order comes into force on 20 November 2023 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be the 2 December 2023.
