BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - PELHAM STREET, BRIGHTON

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 25 October 2023 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

(a) The Temporary Closure of Pelham Street, Brighton from the junction with Cheapside for a distance of approximately 95 metres, except for access only.

(b) The temporary suspension of the single yellow line restriction Mon - Sat, 9am - 6pm, on the east side of Pelham Street, 4 metres from the junction with Cheapside in a southerly direction for approximately 47 metres.

(c) Parking suspension of the parking bays, anc 2 motorcycle parking bays, on the east side of Pelham Street.

(d) The temporary relocation of the disabled bay on the east side of Pelham Street to a space at the southern end of Pelham Street.

2. The Order is necessary to allow the construction of a new Development.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

4. This Order comes into force on 29 October 2023 for 18 months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 19 November 2023.
