ST. HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) - SECTION 14(1) THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (A573 PARKSIDE ROAD. A572 SOUTHWORTH ROAD. A572 NEWTON ROAD. A573 GOLBORNE DALE ROAD-NEWTON LE WILLOWS* (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along A573 Parkside Road, A572 Southworth Road, A572 Newton Road, A573 Golborne Dale Road at their junction with each other, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Thursday 25th March, 2023, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be 8 days.
The alternative route be via A49 Church Street, A49 High Street, A49 Ashton Road, A49 Lodge Lane, A580 East Lancashire Road, A572 Newton Road and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate junction improvement works.
