What is happening?

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(CHILSON PARISH) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that on 30 October 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order, which comes into force on 6 November introduces a 20mph speed limit throughout Chilson, replacing the previous 30mph speed limit in its entirety - leading outwards to the following points on Pudlicote Lane:

1. Southern end - a point 244 metres southeast of its junction with School Lane,

2. Northern end - a point 353 metres northwest of its junction with School Lane.

(ROLLRIGHT PARISH) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that on 30 October 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order, which comes into force on 6 November introduces a 20mph speed limit throughout the village of Great Rollright, replacing the previous 30mph speed limit in its entirety in the process - leading outwards to the following points:

1. High Street:

a. Northern end - a point 20 metres north of Hook Norton Road,

b. Southern end - a point 83 metres south of South End

2. Hook Norton Road - a point 239 metres east of Church End,

3. The unnamed road running westwards from High Street to Hill Barn Farm - a point 20 metres west of High Street.

(CHURCHILL & SARSDEN PARISHES) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that on 30 October 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order, which comes into force on 6 November introduces a 20mph speed limit throughout Churchill & Sarsden, replacing the majority of the previous 30mph speed limit in the process - leading outwards to the following points:

A. Churchill:

1. B4450 Chipping Norton Road - a point 250 metres northeast of Hastings Hill,

2. B4450 Junction Road - a point 25 metres southwest of William Smith Close,

3. Churchill Road - a point 55 metres west of Sidings Road,

4. Hastings Hill - a point 175 metres northwest of Sidings Road,

5. Sarsden Road - a point 125 metres southeast of the B4450 Church Road/Junction Road.

B. Sarsden:

1. Unnamed road running through Sarsden (north-western arm) - a point 90 metres southeast of Sarsden Road,

2. Unnamed road running through Sarsden (north-eastern arm) - a point 179 metres southwest of Sarsden Road,

3. Unnamed road running through Sarsden (south-western arm) - a point 20 metres southwest of the access to Sarsden House,

Additionally, 20mph speed limits have been introduced on the following extents of road:

4. Merriscourt Lane - from its junction with the Unnamed road running through Sarsden, south-eastwards fora distance of 15 metres,

5. Unnamed road running through Sarsden - from a point 30 metres southwest of Merriscourt Lane, north­eastwards for a distance of 340 metres.

A section of existing 30mph speed limit remains on the

unnamed road running northeast/southwest through

Sarsden, between the main residential area & its junction

with Merriscourt Lane, with Officers having taken the current

road environment & traffic usage into account.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Sarsden Parish) (Speed

Limits) Order 2009 is revoked/replaced.

1. (A44 OXFORD TO WOODSTOCK ROAD) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2023

2. THE OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(A4165 KIDLINGTON ROUNDABOUT TO OXFORD CITY AND A44 PEARTREE PARK AND RIDE TO WOLVERCOTE ROUNDABOUT) (BUS LANES AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (VARIATION NO.5) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that on 30 October 2023 Oxfordshire County Council made the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The orders, which come into force on 6 November relate to part of the North Oxford Corridor development project, with the following effect:

1) New 30mph speed limit on the A44 Woodstock Road between the Wolvercote & Peartree roundabouts, replacing the existing National Speed Limit.

2) New 40mph speed limit between Pear Tree roundabout and Cassington roundabout:

a. A44 Woodstock Road - replacing the existing 50mph speed limit from the A4260 Loop Farm roundabout (A4260) - on the northbound carriageway to a point 189 metres north, and on the southbound carriageway to a point north of Cassington Road roundabout,

b. A44 Woodstock Road & A34 Peartree roundabout -replacing the existing national speed limit between the A4260 Loop Farm roundabout & the Peartree roundabout, including the circulatory lanes and lengths of the A34 north & southbound slip roads.

3) Introducing a new Bus only lane on the southbound carriageway of the A44 Woodstock Road between Cassington Road roundabout, Yarnton and the A34 Peartree roundabout. The Oxfordshire County Council (A44 Oxford to Woodstock Road) (Speed Limits) Order 2016, and The Oxfordshire County Council (A4165 Kidlington Roundabout to Oxford City and A44 Peartree Park and Ride to Wolvercote Roundabout) (Bus Lanes and Traffic Management) Order 2006 are replaced or further amended as appropriate. If you wish to question the validity of Order 2. or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 30 October 2023 apply to the High Court for this purpose. (OXFORD) (CUTTESLOWE & FIVE MILE DRIVE AREA) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND

WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION No.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The proposal will further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford) (Cutteslowe & Five Mile Drive Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2014. The effect of the proposals - in accordance with parking policy & planning permissions - is to amend the eligibility of the following property to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits as follows:

Cutteslowe & Five Mile Drive area - exclude the additional new property at No.78A Linkside Avenue from eligibility for resident's parking permits only. The property will retain eligibility to apply for residents' visitors' parking permits.

(KINGHAM PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Kingham village, replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:

1. Churchill Road - a point 160 metres northeast of its junction with The Green,

2. Station Road - a point 173 metres southeast of its junction with New Road,

3. The unnamed road running northwards to Chastleton/ Daylesford - a point 15 metres north of its junction with Churchill Road/West Street.

The length of 30mph speed limit will be retained on the unnamed road north towards Chastleton/Daylesford, with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account. The existing 40mph speed limits on the B4450 Station Road & Station Road also remain unaffected by these proposals.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Kingham Parish) (30m Miles Per Hour Speed Limits) Order 2021 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.
