WESTERN ROAD/HAVEN ROAD PROJECT, POOLE -

FIBRE INSTALLATION WORKS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

Please note that the following roads will not be closed and diversion routes in place at the same time. Residents will be informed by letter with details of the rolling road/ phased closures by City Fibre.

WHERE & WHAT:

Ravine Road, Poole - road closed to all vehicles at its northern and southern junctions with Western Road.

DIVERSION (northern junction): Ravine Rd, Moorfields Rd and Elmstead Rd.

DIVERISON (southern junction): Ravine Rd, Esplanade and Maxwell Rd.

Maxwell Road, Poole - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Haven Road.

DIVERSION: Maxwell Rd, Esplanade and Ravine Rd.

Elmstead Road, Poole - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Haven Road.

DIVERSION: Moorfields Rd and Ravine Rd.

Cliff Drive, Poole - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Haven Road.

DIVERSION: Esplanade and Ravine Rd.

De Mauley Road, Poole - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Haven Road.

DIVERSION: Chaucer Road and Elmstead Road.

WHEN: Anticipated dates for these phased works commencing from Tuesday 21 November up to and including Friday 8 December 2023.

WHY: For safety whilst installation of fibre duct cabling is undertaken by CCN/CityFibre in conjunction with two-way temporary signals on Western Road and Haven Road.

ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
