City Of Salford (City Centre Region) - 20Mph Speed Limit Zone Order 2023
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford proposes to make the City of Salford (City Centre Region) 20mph Speed Limit Zone Order 2023 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce 20mph Speed Limit on the following roads: Bankside Blvd, Barlow’s Croft, Bloom St, Boond St, Booth St, Browncross St, Bury St, Cable Street, Caxton St, Clowes St, Collier St, Cook St, Cross St, Dearmans Place, Duke St, Garden Ln, Gore St, Gorton St, Gravel Ln, Greengate, Harding St, John St, Johnson St, King St, Lamb Court, New Kings Head Yard, North Broughton St, Northgate Ave, Norton St, Quay St, Queen St, Rolla St, Sackville St, Salford Approach, Spaw St, Viaduct St, William St, Worsley St, Yorkshire St for their entire length and Blackfriars Rd from its junction with A6042 Trinity Way to its junction with Chapel St, Blackfriars St from its junction with Chapel St to the Mcr City boundary, Chapel Street from its junction with A6042 Trinity Way to the Mcr City boundary, New Bailey St from its junction with Chapel St to the Mcr City boundary, New Bridge St from the Mcr City Boundary to its junction with Greengate, Stanley St from its junction with New Bailey St to its junction with Irwell St, and Victoria Bridge St from its junction with Chapel St to the Mcr City boundary. Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. The proposed documents may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm inclusive.
