East Lancashire Road & Stonebridge Lane Area - Road Closure for Waiting, Loading and Unloading

(Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Prohibition of Waiting
& Prohibition of Loading and Unloading & 20 m.p.h.
Speed Limit) Order, 2023.
Notice is hereby given that the Council has made the
above-mentioned Order under Section 14 of The Road Traffic
Regulation Act, 1984, to prohibit any vehicle from:-
(A) proceeding along and exceed 20 miles per hour on:-
(i) East Lancashire Road (A580) from -
(a) its junction with Lower Lane to the boundary with
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council (in phases
commencing on the eastbound carriageway in an
easterly direction and upon the eastbound completion,
commencing on the westbound carriageway in
a westerly direction); &
(b) the eastbound A580 exit slip-road (from East
Lancashire Road to the boundary with Knowsley
Metropolitan Borough Council (during relevant phases
of East Lancashire Road closure)); &
(ii) Stonebridge Lane (East Lancashire Road to
Stonedale Crescent (during relevant phases of
East Lancashire Road closure)); &
(B) waiting or waiting for the purposes of loading and
unloading, at any time, on:- Electric Avenue (full length),
Back Gilmoss Lane (full length) & Carraway Road
(Electric Avenue to Back Gilmoss Lane).
This Order will be operative from the 6 November to the
22 December 2023 or for such a lesser period of time
as dictated by the early completion of the works which
are to safely enable Liverpool City Council contractor,
Huyton Asphalt, to continue with their on-going
carriageway improvements.
A signed diversion will be erected for the duration of the works.
