Seaton Road - Prohibition Of Traffic For Carriageway Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SEATON ROAD, HESSLE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Seaton Road, Hessle between the junctions of Penshurst Avenue and Monic Avenue commencing 20 November 2023 to allow carriageway works to be carried out safely.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Seaton Road, First Lane, Boothferry Road, Beverley Road, Richmond Road and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
