What is happening?

Gloucestershire County Council Temporary Closure Of Various Roads (Various Parishes And Towns) Cotswold District

The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 30th October 2023, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously  as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 11th November 2023. GT/79843, Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG  Temporary Road Closure Of 40202 Ampney Lane, Northwood Green (Westbury On Severn Parish) Forest Of Dean District  Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 40202 Ampney Lane, Northwood Green from outside the property known as No. 3 to outside the property known as No. 8 for a total distance of approximately 30 metres.  The reason for the closure is for Severn Trent pipe renewal works.  The road is expected to be closed from 6th November 2023 until 9th November 2023 only or until the works have been completed. Ref: GT/79864, Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG  Temporary Road Closure Of 40108 Woodgate Road (Cinderford Town) Forest Of Dean District  Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 40108 Woodgate Road from its junction with Mountjoys to outside the property known as No. 2 Woodgate Road for a total distance of approximately 100 metres.  The reason for the closure is for Severn Trent boundary box installation works within the footway.  The road is expected to be closed from 8th November 2023 until 10th November 2023 or until the works have been completed. Ref: GT/79863, Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG  Temporary Road Closure Of 4371 Yarleton Lane (Longhope Parish) Forest Of Dean District  Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 4371 Yarleton Lane from outside the property known as May Hill Lodge to a point 40m Northwest for a total distance of approximately 40 metres.  The reason for the closure is for works to be undertaken for a new electricity connection.  The road is expected to be closed from 9th November 2023 until 20th November 2023 or until the works have been completed. The Roads are expected to be closed, at various times, on a rolling programme commencing 6th November 2023, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. CB/79972, Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG  Temporary Closure Of C45 Tibberton Lane (Huntley Parish) Forest Of Dean District  Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of C45 Tibberton Lane outside of the property known as ‘Elmsleigh’ for a distance of approximately 80 metres.  The reason for the closure is for storm water drain diversion works. The road is expected to be closed from the 6th November 2023 until the 17th November 2023 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. GT/79993, Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG  Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath Fsb 37 (St Briavels Parish) Forest Of Dean District  Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) Public Footpath FSB 37 (part of the Offas Dyke National Trail)  St Briavels, from its junction with Public Footpath FSB 30 and then extends in a generally southerly direction for approximately 330 metres to its junction with Public Footpath FSB36  The Public Footpath falls within the Parish OF St Briavels in the Forest of Dean District and the County of Gloucestershire.  The closure is necessary to protect the public while urgent repairs are carried out on footpath steps that have collapsed causing the ground to become unsafe. The Order will commence on the 20th October 2023 and can remain in force for a period of six months from the date of this Notice.  After this date, if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time. The route then proceeds up to and along an embankment continuing in a north north easterly direction for approximately 868m to the A48 public highway at the parish boundary with Westbury on Severn at OSGR SO 6972/ 1276.  A copy of the Order and Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG and the Forest of Dean District Council, High Street, Coleford, Glos, GL16 8HG.
