What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (C2 Hindleap Lane, Forest Row)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hindleap Lane – from the junction with A22 Lewes Road to the
junction with C470 Priory Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C470
Priory Road – A22 Lewes Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 November 2023 and lasts for a period
of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is
earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken
between 6 and 10 November 2023 depending upon the
weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C271 Faircrouch Lane, Wadhurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Faircrouch Lane – from the junction with B2099 Station Hill to
the junction with U7542 Tapsells Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C271
Fairglen Road – B2100 Best Beech Hill, Mayfield Lane – B2099
Station Road, Station Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 November 2023 and lasts for a period
of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is
earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken
between 6 and 9 November 2023 depending upon the
weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2110 Hartfield Road, Forest Row)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County
Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this
notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hartfield Road – from the junction with P7040 Forest Road to
the junction with U7472 Parrock Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2110
Shepherds Hill – Cat Street – B2026 Jib Jacks Hill – Chuck
Hatch Road – High Road – Duddleswell Road – Lampool Road
– A22 Horney Common Road – A22 Millbrook Hill – Wych Cross
– Lewes Road – London Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 November 2023 and lasts for a
period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever
is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on
19 November 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
