SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(High Street, Newmarket Street,Ayr) (Christmas Event, Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting & Loading at Any Time) Order 2023
On 26th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 62 of the Road (Scotland) 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the abovenamed Order to allow Ayr Christmas Event.
Road Closure – High Street, Newmarket Street.
Ayr High Street from the junction with Alloway Street/ Kyle Street, northwards to the junction with New Bridge Street / Sandgate.
Newmarket Street entire length.
No Waiting At Any Time – High Street, Newmarket Street.
Ayr High Street from the junction with Alloway Street / Kyle Street, northwards to the junction with New Bridge Street / Sandgate. (both sides).
Newmarket Street entire length. (both sides).
The Order commences on 19 November 2023 and has a maximum duration of 7days or until the event if finished and the closure can be removed whichever is earlier.
Preperations for the event are expected to commence from 19 November 2023 at 11:30 until 19 November 2023 at 17:30.
The days and times of the Event may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services and Pedestrians will not be affected.
An alternative route will be signed via - Beresford Terrace - Miller Road - Alloway Street - Fort Street - South Harbour Street - New Bridge Street - End
SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(B7023, Maybole) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
On 26th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.
Temporary Road Closure – B7023, Maybole, For 900m - just before The Ranch Holiday Park Westwards.
The Order commences on 20 November 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 20 November 2023 at 09:00 until 10 December 2023 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 09:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.
An alternative route will be signed via Travel along A719 heading Southbound through Maidens and Turnberry to the junction of Kirkoswald Road, turn left and travel Kirkoswald Road/A77 through Kirkoswald onto Kirkoswald Road roundabout in Maybole, travel straight onto Maybole Bypass in Maybole, turn left onto the B7023 and travel onto closure & vice versa.

(A719 High Road, Ayr - Whitletts) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2023
On 26th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing Temporary Road Closure – A719 High Road, Ayr - Whitletts, for 400m. No Waiting At Any Time - A719 High Road, Ayr - Whitletts, for 400m.
The Order commences on 20 November 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 20 November 2023 at 18:00 until 27 November 2023 at 08:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 18:00 and 08:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access and access for residents, deliveries will be via diversion route.
An alternative route will be signed via Diversion via the A77 at Whitletts roundabout onto the B743 Heathfield Road, continue along until the junction of the A79 Prestwick Road and turn left, continue along Prestwick Road until the Tams Brig/Allison Street roundabout and take the second exit and continue along Allison Street until the King Street roundabout, take the first exit onto King Street and continue along Whitletts road until High Road and return.

(Green Street, Green Street Lane, Saltfield Lane, Ayr) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2023
On 26th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow contractors to allow Scottish Power Works.
No Waiting At Any Time - Green Street, Green Street Lane, Saltfield Lane, Green Street - from Taylor Street to Number 45 (both sides).
Saltfield Lane - full length (both sides).
Green St Lane - from Taylor Street for 90m (both sides)
The Order commences on 14 November 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 14 November 2023 at 07:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 27 November 2023 at 23:59. Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

(Station Hotel, Ayr - Safety Works) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting and Loading at Any Time ) Order 2023
On 26th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to esure public safety safety and to facilitate safety works to the structure following the fire at the Station Hotel.
Temporary Road Closure: The A70 Station Bridge from the junction with Smith Street to the roundabout junction with Castlehill Road.
No Waiting, No Loading At Any Time:
Station Road from its junction with Holmston Road to the egress point from Ayr Railway Station car park (a distance of approximately 70 metres);
Smith Street (eastern side/station side of carriageway) from its junction with Burns Statue Square to a point 25 metres east of the Ayr Train Station car park access (opposite Poundland). This restriction includes the suspension of all taxi rank/ taxi bays on the eastern side of Smith Street for the duration of the order;
Smith Street (western side/opposite side of carriageway from the station) from its junction with Kyle Street eastbound for a distance of approximately 100 metres.
Order Duration and Implementation:
The Order commences on 09 November 2023 at 00:01 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the safety works are sufficiently advanced to allow the restrictions to be lifted, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to be ongoing from the commencement date of the Order until 10th January 2024 at 00:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions. The Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
