The County of Cornwall (Lower Hugus Road, Threemilestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 30th October 2023 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Threemilestone.

This prohibition is necessary for ducting works and it is expected that the closure will be from 13th November 2023 to 17th November 2023. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0800 and 1800, weekdays only.

Road affected - Lower Hugus Road, Threemilestone between the junction of Jubilee Road and Sunniholme Place.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 2nd October 2023 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Lowertown, Helston between the junction of Gwavas Hill and the property named Canton.

The Order which commenced on the 16th October 2023 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 3rd November 2023.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out wall repair works.

Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 15th November 2023 to 17th November 2023. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 2000 and 0600, weekdays only.

Road affected - Mellangoose, Sithney between the junction of Sithney Common Hill and the property named Lonon Farm.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Truro. This prohibition is necessary for surfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 27th November 2023 to 2nd December 2023. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600, weekends included.

This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th November 2023 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1600, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 30th October 2023 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in St Day.

This prohibition is necessary for carriageway repair works and it is expected that the closure will be from 13th November 2023 to 17th November 2023. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700, weekdays only.

(RTRA 1984) Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 30th October 2023 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being St Marys Street Truro for its entire length.

It is further ordered that Cornwall Council makes this Order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing oneway order The County of Cornwall (Truro) (Restrictions on Driving) Order 2006, High Cross/St. Mary’s Street (Unclassified) - from a point 33 yards east of its junction with King Street to its junction with Duke Street/New Bridge Street, between the junction of Old Bridge Street and New Bridge Street as highlighted by the yellow line on the plan attached to this Order.

It is further ordered that Cornwall Council makes this Order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing prohibition of motor vehicles order The County of Cornwall (Truro) (Various Roads) (Restrictions on Driving) Order 2023, Boscawen Street for its entire length and Duke Street for its entire length as highlighted by the green line on the plan attached to this Order.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out new water connection works.

The Order will come into operation on 13th November 2023 and the works are expected to be completed by the 17th November 2023. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700 on a daily basis, weekdays only.

Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

(RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 31st October 2023 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Urban Footway F7048, Redruth for its entire length. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public during building and roof repairs.

The Order will come into operation on 11th October 2023 and the works are expected to be completed by the 1st December 2023. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 11th October 2023 for a period of up to 21 days. Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
