Lincolnshire - Road Closure for Waiting

LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(SLEAFORD – EAST GATE, ASHFIELD ROAD & DUKE STREET)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council
propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
prohibit waiting as set out in the Schedule below:
• Proposed permit parking and limited waiting bays for nonpermit
holders Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm (40mins) on the East side of
Ashfield Road’s dead end.
• Proposed ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ along the South side of East
Gate carriageway, on the North side of the carriageway either
side of the access to Sleaford Area Office, on the junction
of Ashfield Road and the junction of Duke Street.
• Proposed ‘No Waiting 8am to 6pm’ on the North side of East
Gate.
• Proposed amendment to permit parking to allow parking
by non-permit holders Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm (40mins) on the
West side of Ashfield Road either side of its junction with
Duke Street.
Exemptions are included which will permit waiting for disabled
persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting
down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance
of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas,
electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.

with a Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may
