Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A268 HIGH STREET, HAWKHURST TN18 4PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A268 High Street, Hawkhurst, on or after 6th November 2023 for up to 1 night between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.
A268 High Street will be closed from the junction with Slip Mill Lane to the vicinity of Oak Cottage, the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
To facilitate this closure, the bus stops on A268 High Street, Hawkhurst, from the junction with Slip Mill Lane to outside Falcon House, will be temporarily suspended in both directions.
The alternative route is via High Street, Highgate Hill, Moor Hill, The Moor, Horns Road, Horns Hill, Coopers Corner, A21 From J A229 To J B2099, Ashdene, A21 From J B2099 To J A268/B2087, Hastings Road, Hawkhurst Road, London Road and vice versa.
ALDERS ROAD & HALF MOON LANE, TONBRIDGE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Half Moon Lane, Tudeley and Alders Road, Capel on or after 6th November 2023, with estimated completion by 1st March 2024, or until the works have been completed.
Half Moon Lane - KZ50051252324-06
Half Moon Lane will be closed from 6th November 2023, with estimated completion by 18th February 2024.
The road will be closed from the junction with Alders Road to outside Dislingbury Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative routes are via :
1. Amhurst Bank Road, Redwings Lane, A288 Maidstone Road, A288 Colt’s Hill and Alders Road.
2. Half Moon Lane, Pembury Hall Road, Old Church Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, A228 Maidstone Road, Alders Road and Half Moon Lane.
Alders Lane - KZ50043467117-05
Alders Road will be closed from 19th February 2024, with estimated completion by 1st March 2024.
The road will be closed from the junction with Half Moon Lane to outside Church Farm House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Alders Road, A228 Colt’s Hill, B2017 Badsell Road, B2017 Five Oak Green Road and vice versa.
BALLARDS HILL, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ballards Hill, Cranbrook, on or after 22nd November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Dunley Cottage for 45 metres south east, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, West Road, A262 Clay Hill, A262 Station Road, A262 Speldmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Goudhurst Road, Ballards Hill and vice versa.
BIRLING ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS. TN2 5HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Birling Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 21st November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 27, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Birling Road, Forest Road, B2169 Bayham Road and vice versa.
COMMERCIAL ROAD, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow the Christmas lights event to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Commercial Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 26th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 11:00 and 19:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Old Kent Road and Station Road (War Memorial), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Commercial Road, Station Road, B2016 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
FAIRMANS LANE, BRENCHLEY, TN12 7BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fairmans Lane, Brenchley, on or after 24th November 2023 for up to 5 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Paygate Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Horsmonden Road, Brenchley Road, The Heath, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Tong Lane, Green Lane, Tong Road, Fairmans Lane and vice versa.
GOLFORD ROAD, BENENDEN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Golford Road, Benenden, on or after 27th November 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Golford Road, Cranbrook, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road, Golford Road and vice versa.
IDEN GREEN ROAD, STANDEN STREET & WOODCOCK LANE, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Cranbrook.
WORKS PROGRAMME
Iden Green Road, Cranbrook
Iden Green Road will be closed from 13th November 2023, with estimated completion by 17th November 2023.
The road will be closed from outside Beech Cottage to the junction with Mill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Regent Street, A28 High Street, A28 Hastings Road, A268 Rye Road, A268 Queen Street, Sponden Lane, Mill Street, Iden Green Road and vice versa.
Standen Street, Cranbrook
Standen Street will be closed from 20th November 2023, with estimated completion by 24th November 2023.
The road will be closed from the junctions with Iden Green Road, Mill Street and Coldharbour Road to the junction with Woodcock Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Ramsden Lane, Woodcock Lane, Iden Green Road and vice versa.
Woodcock Lane, Cranbrook
Woodcock Lane will be closed from 27th November 2023, with estimated completion by 1st December 2023.
The road will be closed at the junction with Standen Street to outside The Woodcock Pub, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Woodcock Lane, Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Ramsden Lane, Woodcock Lane and vice versa.
HARMONY STREET, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN4 8NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY ORDER) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow chamber works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on / part of Harmony Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th November 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Upper Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order on Harmony Street will be temporarily suspended, to allow for access.
The alternative route is via Harmony Street, Rusthall Road, Apsley Street, Woodside Road and vice versa.
TIDDYMOTTS LANE, CRANBROOK TN17 1AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tiddymotts Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 21st November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Balcombes Hill to outside number 1 South View Terrace, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tiddymotts Lane, Maypole Lane, Balcombes Hill, Tiddymotts Lane and vice versa.
