Whitton Avenue West - Road Closure to Allow for Works Taking Place on or Near the Road

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC
ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING:
WHITTON AVENUE WEST, GREENFORD.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary
traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order
for planned works - TT 4042 Whitton Avenue West,
Greenford - 2023.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or
near the road. These works involve Ericsson accessing
a communications mast using a small tower crane.
Effect of order
1. Whitton Avenue West will be closed at its junction
with Greenford Road between the hours of
22.00hrs until 05.00hrs over 2 nights.
2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle
movements will take effect from 14th November 2023.
(a) No entry into the fully closed section of Whitton
Avenue West.
(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of
the carriageway within the fully closed section.
3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will
only apply at specified locations where appropriate
traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance
with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced
vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place
to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic
management measures.
5. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer
in uniform or a police community support officer
(PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade
or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
14th November 2023
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 13th May 2025, or upon
completion of works which is expected to be
15th November 2023 - whichever is sooner.
All dates are subject to weather and are indicative.
