What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KING STREET, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of King Street, Watford from its junction with High Street south westwards to its junction with St Marys View, a distance of approximately 36m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via High Street, A411 Exchange Road, Cambridge Road, Granville Road, The Crescent, Smith Street and King Street.

The Order is needed because telephone kiosk improvement and reinstatement works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON

THE WEST SIDE OF THE GOSSAMERS, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the west side of The Gossamers, Watford from a point 10m north west of its junction with Phillipers north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the west side of The Gossamers, the footway situated on the north side of Phillipers, the footway situated on the east side of Amwell Close, the footpath fronting Nos.2-6 Amwell Close and the footpath situated on the west side of The Gossamers.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.16-32 LITTLE OXHEY LANE, SOUTH OXHEY AND B4542 LITTLE OXHEY LANE, CARPENDERS PARK) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. the service road fronting Nos.16-32 Little Oxhey Lane, South Oxhey from its westernmost junction with B4542 Little Oxhey Lane southwards, eastwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 81m.

An alternative route will be via B4542 Little Oxhey Lane.

2. that length of B4542 Little Oxhey Lane, Carpenders Park from its junction with A4008 Oxhey Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 631m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 (Oxhey Lane/Pinner Road), A4125 (Eastbury Road/Hampermill Lane) and B4542 (Brookdene Avenue/Prestwick Road/Little Oxhey Lane) or via B4542 (Little Oxhey Lane/Prestwick Road/Brookdene Avenue), A4125 Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A411 Chalk Hill and A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road/Oxhey Lane).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GATESHEAD ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD)

ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gateshead Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Grove Road north eastwards to its junction with Aycliffe Road, a distance of approximately 153m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Gateshead Road, Leeming Road and Aycliffe Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DE VERE WALK, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of De Vere Walk, Watford from its junction with Langley Way south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road").

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Love Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with Bedmond Road north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN MARLBOROUGH ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the westbound carriageway of Marlborough Road, Watford from its junction with A411 Exchange Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 208m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via A411 Exchange Road, Upton Road andA4178 Cassio Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HINDHEAD GREEN, SOUTH OXHEY

AND OAKFIELD, MILL END) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Hindhead Green, South Oxhey from its junction with Ashridge Drive south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Barnhurst Path, a distance of approximately 175m.

An alternative route will be via Ashridge Drive and Barnhurst Path.

2. that length of Oakfield, Mill End from its junction with The Queens Drive south eastwards and north eastwards to its westernmost junction with Edinburgh Way, a distance of approximately 256m.

An alternative route will be via The Queens Drive, Berry Lane and Oakfield.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALTON ROAD/ARTHUR STREET,

BUSHEY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Walton Road/Arthur Street, Bushey from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.7 Walton Road south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 12m ("the length of Roads").

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HATFIELD ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hatfield Road, Watford from its junction with Bradshaw Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 148m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (WIGGENHALL ROAD, WATFORD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2021

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce waiting restrictions in part of Watford as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 30 October 2023.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are held on deposit and may be viewed from 27 October 2023 to 8 December 2023 during normal office hours at Main Reception, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford or may also be viewed online from 27 October 2023 at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Watford and looking at Ref: W00721.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (CHILTERN AVENUE, WENDOVER WAY,

OUNDLE AVENUE AND IVINGHOE ROAD, BUSHEY) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Bushey as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be inspected from 27 October 2023 during normal office hours, at Main Reception, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, or may be viewed on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Hertsmere and looking at Ref: H00823
