Cot Lane / Lodge Lane - Temporary Road Closure and Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) 

(COT LANE LEFT SLIP LANE) AND (LODGE LANE, KINGSWINFORD) AND (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) (LODGE LANE, KINGSWINFORD) ORDER 2023

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make a temporary Order to safely facilitate the upgrading of the traffic signal junction in Cot Lane and Lodge Lane, Kingswinford. The effects of which will be to prohibit: - (a) All vehicles proceeding on; Cot Lane (left slip road), Kingswinford from the A4101 Summer Hill to Cot Lane. Lodge Lane, Kingswinford from the junction of Cot Lane to the junction of Ryefield Way, Kingswinford (b) To temporarily suspend the one-way traffic regulation order on; Cot Lane (left slip road), Kingswinford from the A4101 Summer Hill to Cot Lane. At such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed The Order would apply at 08:00 hours on Monday 13th November 2023. It is anticipated that the works would be completed by 20:00 hours Tuesday 28th November 2023. The Order would remain valid for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. For the temporary closures of Cot Lane left slip lane: All vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Summer Hill and Cot Lane. For the temporary closures of Lodge Lane: All vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Swindon Road, Kidderminster Road and vice versa. Exemptions would be provided for: - a. a nything done with the permission or at the direction of a civil enforcement officer in uniform; b. emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; c. any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works.7 Any queries on the temporary restrictions imposed, should be made on (01384) 815453.
