What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

CANTERBURY & SWALE AREAS

A299 THANET WAY, HERNHILL & YORKLETTS. (TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction on part of A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill & Yorkletts, on or after 20th November 2023, with estimated completion by 9th December 2023, or until the works have been completed.

A temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction will be imposed from the Fostall eastbound on-slip to 400 metres east of the Dargate Services, in both directions, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
