The East Sussex (U5123 Mount Street, Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Hailsham Roadways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Mount Street – from the junction with B2193 Priory Street for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 1 November 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 and 2 November 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U9035 Hastings Crescent, Hailsham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023 To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hastings Crescent – from no.11 Arrow Drive to no.15 Hastings Crescent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U9035 Hastings Crescent, Arrow Drive and vice versa. The Order commences 30 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 October and 2 November 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2100 High Street, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
High Street – from the junction with A26 Beacon Road to the junction with U7809 Nevill Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2100 The Broadway, Crowborough Hill – B2157 Green Lane, Eridge Road – A26 Eridge Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 27 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 27 and 28 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7910 Forest Lane, Punnetts Town) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Forest Lane – from the junction with U7911 Blackdown Lane to the junction with U7598 North Street.

(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2023 To allow East Hoathly & Halland Carnival/Bonfire Society to facilitate the 2023 East Hoathly & Halland Bonfire/Carnival, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
THE EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL (EXCEAT BRIDGE
REPLACEMENT – A259 EASTBOURNE ROAD)
BRIDGE SCHEME 2023
East Sussex County Council (the “Council”) hereby gives notice that it has made, and is about to submit to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, a scheme in exercise of its powers under Section 106(3) of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to construct over the navigable waters of the Cuckmere River the bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme as part of the highway which they are proposing to construct as a replacement for the Exceat Bridge carrying the A259 Eastbourne Road in the Parish of Cuckmere Valley and the Parish of Sutton with Seaford in the County of East Sussex. Copies of the Scheme and the relevant plans and specifications may be inspected free of charge during normal opening hours at:-
(i) The Reception Desk, East Sussex County Council , County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1UE; and
