What is happening?

CASTLE POINT BOROUGH COUNCIL

(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Castle Point Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sectior 32 & 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers has made the above Order

Effect of the Order:

1. To add the Knightswick Shopping Centre Car Park, Canvey Island to the Borough of Castle Point (Off Street Parking Places) (General) Order 2013 Schedule 1- List of car parks, i.e

Long Stay Car Park

The Knightswick Car Park, Canvey Island

2. To add the Knightswick Shopping Centre Car Park, Canvey Island to the Borough of Castle Point (Off Street Parking Places) (General) Order 2013 Schedule 2 - Car Park and Parking Places tariff and waiting restrictions, i.e.

This Order will be incorporated into the Borough of Castle Point (Off Street Parking Places) (General) Order 2013.

Date of operation: This Order will come into operation on 1 November 2023

Application to the High Court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
