What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN LEASEY BRIDGE LANE/ CHERRY TREE LANE, WHEATHAMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Leasey Bridge Lane/Cherry Tree Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with Wheathampstead Road north eastwards to its junction with B653 Lower Luton Road, a distance of approximately 808m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Wheathampstead Road, Harpenden Road, Brewhouse Hill, Church Street, B651 (High Street/Station Road) and B653 Lower Luton Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SALISBURY ROAD/BATFORD ROAD, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Salisbury Road/Batford Road, Harpenden from its junction with Southview Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 350m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Southview Road, B653 Lower Luton Road and Batford Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN FLAMSTEAD, REDBOURN AND HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads ("the Roads" will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads, except for access:-
a) that length of A5 (unnamed road), Flamstead from its junction with the A5183 London Road/ Watery Lane roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A5183 Dunstable Road/M1 (junction 9) roundabout, a distance of approximately 255m.
An alternative route will be via A5183 (London Road/Dunstable Road), B4504 (Luton Road/ Markyate Road/Church Road), Newlands Road, A1081 (London Road/Luton Road/St Albans Road), B487 Redbourn Lane and A5183 (Redbourn Bypass/Dunstable Road) or via the M1, A1081 Pepperstock Interchange and the M1 or via the M1, A414 Breakspear Way, A4147 (Maylands Avenue/Swallowdale Lane/Redbourn Road), B487 (Redbourn Road/Hemel Hempstead Road/Redbourn Bypass) and A5183 (Redbourn Bypass/ Dunstable Road).
b) that length of A5183 Dunstable Road, Redbourn from its junction with the A5 (unnamed road)/ M1 (junction 9) roundabout south eastwards to its junction with A5183 Redbourn Bypass, a distance of approximately 1399m.
An alternative route will be via A5 (unnamed road), A5183 (London Road/Dunstable Road), B4504
(Luton Road/Markyate Road/Church Road), Newlands Road, A1081 (London Road/Luton Road/St Albans Road), B487 Redbourn Lane and A5183 Redbourn Bypass or via A5 (unnamed road), the M1, A1081 Pepperstock Interchange and the M1 or via A5 (unnamed road), the M1, A414 Breakspear Way, A4147 (Maylands Avenue/Swallowdale Lane/Redbourn Road), B487 (Redbourn Road/Hemel Hempstead Road/Redbourn Bypass) and A5183 Redbourn Bypass.
c) the A5183 Dunstable Road/M1 (junction 9) roundabout, Redbourn from its junction with A5 (unnamed road) clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via A5 (unnamed road), A5183 (London Road/Dunstable Road), B4504 (Luton Road/Markyate Road/Church Road), Newlands Road, A1081 (London Road/Luton Road/ St Albans Road), B487 Redbourn Lane and A5183 (Redbourn Bypass/Dunstable Road) or via A5 (unnamed road), the M1, A1081 Pepperstock Interchange and the M1 or via A5 (unnamed road), the M1, A414 Breakspear Way, A4147 (Maylands Avenue/ Swallowdale Lane/Redbourn Road), B487 (Redbourn Road/Hemel Hempstead Road/ Redbourn Bypass) and A5183 (Redbourn Bypass/Dunstable Road).
2. The existing 7.5 tonne (mgw) weight restriction on that length of A5183 (Dunstable Road/ Redbourn Bypass), Redbourn from its junction with the A5 (unnamed road)/M1 (junction 9) roundabout south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the B487 Redbourn Bypass/ A5183 St Albans Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 3751m, will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to use this length of roads whilst works are in progress.
3. The existing 7.5 tonne (mgw) weight restriction on that length of B487 (Redbourn Bypass/ Hemel Hempstead Road), Redbourn and B487 Redbourn Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A5183 Redbourn Bypass/A5183 St Albans Road roundabout south westwards to its junction with the Shenley Road/Three Cherry Trees Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 4237m, will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to use this length of roads whilst works are in progress.
