(AMENDMENT) TRAFFIC
REGULATION ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Stockton-on-Tees Borough
Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4,
32, 35, 45, 46 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling
powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of
Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The Order will have the effect of prohibiting any vehicle
waiting at any time or loading or unloading between the
hours of 7am to 9.30am and 4pm to 6pm Monday to
Saturday along the length of Norton Road, Stockton as
specified in Schedule 1, and implementing short stay
parking places for on-street charges on Norton Road,
Stockton, to the length of road specified in Schedule 2.
Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft Order
which, together with a map showing the affected roads
and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing
to make the Order, may be examined at the Stockton
Customer Service Centre, Central Library, The Square,
Stockton-on-Tees during normal office hours and on the
Council's website (Traffic Orders). If you wish to object
to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for
your objection in writing to Transport Planning & Strategy
Manager, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Municipal
Buildings, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD or
email HTD@Stockton.gov.uk by 20th November 2023.
SCHEDULE 1 -
Norton Road, Stockton (East Side) - From its junction
with Queen Street in a southerly direction for a distance of
approximately 14 metres.
SCHEDULE 2 -
Norton Road, Stockton (East Side) - From a point
approximately 14 metres south of its junction with
Queen Street in a southerly direction for a distance of
approximately 60 metres.
