What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (MILL STREET [FORD], SIDMOUTH) (NO. 2) ORDER 2023

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

From 30/10/23 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 24/11/23.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected:

MILL STREET [FORD], SIDMOUTH

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via -

FROM MILFORD ROAD - MILL STREET; VIA SALCOMBE ROAD & HIGH STREET (ONE-WAY). FROM MILL STREET - MILFORD ROAD;

RIVERSIDE ONTO YORK STREET, THE ESPLANADE ONTO B3176 TO ALL SAINTS ROAD ONTO SALCOMBE ROAD.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable:

REPAIR & UPGRADE OF THE CONCRETE RAMPS LEADING OUT OF THE FORD ON BOTH SIDES, INSTALLATION OF IMPROVED FLOOD MANAGEMENT INFRASTRUCTURE, & INSTALLATION OF NEW TELEMETRY TO SUPPORT SAID INFRASTRUCTURE.

WORKS WILL ONLY BE CARRIED OUT FROM 07:00 - 17:00 EACH DAY BUT FORD WILL BE CLOSED 24 HOURS A DAY FOR THE FULL DURATION.
