NOTICE OF MAKING
THE COUNTY OF HEREFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
(HEREFORD RESIDENTS PARKING) (NO. 4) ORDER 2019 (AMENDMENT NO.2) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 63 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, make the above Order, the effect of which will be to amend the COUNTY OF HEREFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (HEREFORD RESIDENTS PARKING) (NO. 4) ORDER 2019 by introducing/revoking waiting, loading and resident permit holder restrictions on various roads in Zones 1, 5, 7, 9, C & D in the City of Hereford. The order aims to:
- Make the restrictions within each zone more appropriate, consistent and clearer to road users, so that contraventions, which affect residents, are minimal.
- Existing dual No Waiting (Yellow Line) restrictions with exemptions for permit holders will be amended to reflect current DfT guidance on the design and enforcement of on-street parking restrictions.
- Prioritise, and maximise, parking provision for residents within the zones.
This Order will come into effect on 1st November 2023.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with that person may, within six weeks from the date the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
Any representations received by the Council may be imparted to third parties. We will keep your data for up to 7 years. Your information may be shared with other Balfour Beatty teams within Herefordshire and Herefordshire Council in order to provide you with the service.
