Shropshire - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions To Allow Necessary Works To Be Undertaken

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (The Council) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/ or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.

The Order/s came into force on 6th November 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or
until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Black Park Road, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 5 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - 5 day Road closure required for safe access for engineers to complete works in under ground fibre network.
Alternative Route: B4395, Alport road, Mile Bank road, Ossmere Lane, Black Park Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Blackoe Bridge, Fenns Bank
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 3 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace 2 x poles
Alternative Route: Fenns Bank road, Brickwall Lane, Unnamed road North East towards Alkington, Unnamed road South West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Crown Lane, Little Stretton
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach Replace decayed pole
Alternative Route: Ludlow Road, A49

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Wistanstow and A49
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Boundary box Install
Alternative Route: Roman Road, A489, A49, Roman road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Long Common, near Claverley
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 12 days
Purpose: Road Closure-National Grid-2 joint holes in tarmac footway and 80m trenching in tarmac road for supply alteration
Alternative Route: Long Common, Tinkers Castle road, B4176

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Neachley Lane, Cosford
Date & Duration: 7th November 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach - To provide safe working zone for access to lay new duct. approx. 310m of duct to be completed in order to serve new customer connection
Alternative Route: Long Lane, A41, Stanton road, Neachley Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Old Chirk Road, Gobowen
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 2 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Clear blockage
Alternative Route: School Lane, B5009, Old Chirk Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A41 Newport Road, Tong
Date & Duration: 9th November 2023 for 1 night between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Alternative Route: A41, A5, A4640, A464

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A49 between Prees and Prees Heath
Date & Duration: 10th November 2023 for 1 night between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Carriageway repairs
Alternative Route: A41, A53, A49

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A458, Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 2 nights between 20:00 to 05:00
Purpose: Lining Works and repair of street furniture and ironworks
Alternative Route: A458, B4368, A49, B4371

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4555 Eardington to Bridgnorth
Date & Duration: 10th November 2023 for 4 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo Carriageway repair works
Alternative Route: B4555, B4363

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using St Johns Hill, Ellesmere
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 3 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Pre Dressing Patching Works

Alternative Route: St Johns Hill, Birch Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between
Ellesmere and Coptiviney
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Pre Dressing Patching Works
Alternative Route: Stocks Lane, A495, Swan Hill

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using High Street, Broseley
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 2 nights between 19:00 to 05:00
Purpose: Renew all lining including parking areas and disabled bays
Alternative Route: B4375, B4376, B4373
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Temeside, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Fell Ash trees identified to have Ash Die Back.
Alternative Route: Steventon New Road, Sheet Road, Weeping Cross Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A458 Harley Road to
Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 7th November 2023 for 1 night between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: A458 RNI Multevo Works
Alternative Route: A4169, B4380, A458

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Drinkwater Street, Shrewsbury at the same time there will be a suspension on Mount Street to allow bollards to be removed to maintain access to Drinkwater Street.
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 2 days between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable safe working space for the replacement of splitter.
Alternative Route: St Georges Street, Mount Street, Whitehorse Passage, Frankwell, Frankwell Island

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A49 Prees Green to Preston Brockhurst
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 3 nights between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Carriageway repairs
Alternative Route: A49, A41, A53, A49

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road betweenB4386 Stoney Stretton and A458 Rowton
 Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 1 night between 22:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Network Rail, level crossing maintenance.
Alternative Route: Unnamed road North, A458, B4387, B4386

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Sundorne Road (service road), Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 4 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, long comm pipe install.
Alternative Route: Sundorne Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Llanyblodwell and Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain
Date & Duration: 6th November 2023 for 8 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Excavate 1m in road verge. excavate 30m in road to install ducts.
Alternative Route: B4386, A495, Unnamed road North East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Pontesford Hill, Pontesbury
Date & Duration: 7th November 2023 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable carriageway repairs
Alternative Route: A488 Shrewsbury Road, Chapel Street, Habberley Road, Grove Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using King Street, Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 8th November 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water New water connection
