What is happening?

The Camden (Revocation of Parking Places) (No. 1) Traffic Order 2023

The Camden (Parking Places) (Pedal Cycles) (Amendment No. 13) Traffic Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that, on 23 October 2023 the Council of the London Borough of Camden made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to revoke the sections of parking places specified below and to install parking places for pedal cycles at the same locations.

Merton Rise: southernmost 5.5 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place opposite no. 24 Merton Rise

Tasker Road: easternmost 7 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place opposite the side of no. 45 Parkhill Road; to facilitate the installation of a 5.5 metre pedal cycle bay

Maitland Park Villas: northernmost 5.5 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place outside Maple House

Kingsgate Road: southernmost 5.5 metre section of the shared use permit holder and paid for parking place opposite no. 107 Kingsgate Road

Maresfield Gardens: southernmost 5.5 metre section of the paid for parking place opposite no. 41 a, Lakefield Catering and Educational Centre

Glenbrook Road: revoke the 6.1 metre resident permit holders parking place opposite nos. 13 and 14 Glenbrook Road; to facilitate the implementation of a pedal cycle bay 7.1 metres in length

Fairhazel Gardens: a 5.5 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place opposite no. 47 Fairhazel Gardens

Lyndhurst Gardens: a 5.5 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place to the side of no. 19 Lyndhurst Road

York Rise: a 5.5 metre section of the residents permit holders parking place to the side of no. 64 Croftdown Road

Bartholomew Road: southernmost 5.5 metre section of the permit holders parking place north of the northern kerb-line of Gaisford Street

Patshull Place: a 5.5 metre section of the permit holders parking place to the side and rear of no. 27 Lawford Road

Fellows Road: north-easternmost 5.5 metre section of resident permit holders parking place opposite no.1 Fellows Road

Cantelowes Road: a 5.5 metre section of permit holders parking place to the side of no.1 South Villas

Tavistock Square: southernmost 3.8 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place opposite University of London Connaught Hall; in order to facilitate the introduction of a pedal cycle bay 5.5 metres in length

Augustus Street: northernmost 5.5 metre section of resident permit holders parking place opposite Tintern House, Augustus Street

Argyle Square: southernmost 12 metre section of resident permit holders parking place opposite nos. 43, 44 and 45 Argyle Square

Broadhurst Gardens: westernmost 4.6 metres of shared use parking place outside no. 198 Broadhurst Gardens and to the side of no. 102 West End Lane; the existing 5.5 metre e-scooter and cycle hire space will be extended eastwards by 4.6 metres to occupy the revoked portion of shared use parking place of the same length

Chesterford Gardens: northernmost 5.5 metre section of resident permit holders parking place to the side of no. 27 Redington Road

Weedington Road: southernmost 5.5 metre section of resident permit holders parking place to the side of no. 51 Vicar's Road

Twisden Road: southernmost 5.5 metre section of permit holders parking place opposite the side of no. 51 Twisden Road

Eton Avenue: westernmost 4.5 metre section of the resident permit holders parking place to the side of Mora Burnet House, no. 37 Winchester Road; the existing 5.5 metre e-scooter and cycle hire space will be extended eastwards by 4.5 metres to occupy the revoked portion of the resident permit holders parking place of the same length

Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 26 October 2023, and other documents relating to the Orders may be viewed at camden.gov.uk/recently-advertised-proposals or obtained by contacting traffic.orders@camden.gov.uk or may be inspected in person by appointment only at 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG, between the hours of 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays excluding bank and public holidays (please contact traffic.orders@camden.gov.uk to arrange an appointment).

Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
