A66 MARTON ROAD INTERCHANGE WESTBOUND ENTRY SLIP ROAD TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough gives notice that it has made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers over an area of the highway being a temporary emergency road closure of the A66 Marton Road Interchange westbound entry slip road because of bridge maintenance works. An alternative highway will be available for use while the Order is in force being A66 eastbound, A172 southbound, u-turn at A172 / Longlands Road r’bt, A172 northbound and A66 westbound. The road was closed from 1:00pm on 15th October 2023 and is expected to reopen at the end of January 2024. The Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The temporary closure will not at any time prevent access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the road.
