What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BOLTON ROAD, HAWKSHAW, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

Bolton Road, Hawkshaw - from Kerry Hill to No. 196 Bolton Road (a distance of 120 m in an easterly direction)

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate sewer connection works.

The alternative route will be via Bolton Road, Ramsbottom Road, Tottington Road, Turton Road, Holcombe Road & vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on Saturday 28 October 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the road closure is one weekend. Dated 26 October 2023

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (REAR OF WELLINGTON SQUARE, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-Road to the Rear of Wellington Square, Bury - full length The reason for the proposed order is for gas mains works.

There is no alternative route.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 06/11/2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 20 days.
