WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice Is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Cromwell Ave (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cromwell Ave (south bound traffic) from its jct. with Westbrook Way to its jct. with Westbrook Cres. The Order will be effective from 16th November 2023 to 18th November 2023, between 9pm & 6am. The alternative route will be via Westbrook Way & Westbrook Cres. The closure is required to allow Openreach to carry out chamber renewal works. Ref: 4149208
Cromwell Roundabouts - Phase 2b (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Cromwell Ave from the roundabout at Twenty Acre Rd/Old Hall Rd to its jct. with Ladywood Rd/ Westbrook Cres; Twenty Acre Rd from Cromwell Ave for 50m; Shackleton Cl from Cromwell Ave for 100m. The Order will be effective from 19th November 2023 for 3 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. The alternative route will be via Sankey Way, Whittle Ave, Westbrook Way & vice versa. The closure is required for carriageway resurfacing. Ref: 121958
Cross Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cross Ln from its jct. with Warrington Rd to its jct. with Lady Ln. The Order will be effective from 14th November 2023 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Warrington Rd, Glaziers Ln, Wigshaw Ln, Mustard Ln, Lady Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Electrity North West to carry out vegetation clearance to the overhead lines. Ref: 4131508
Gorsey Ln (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Gorsey Ln from its jct. with Gorsey Ln Passageway Gable of 67 to its jct. with Steel St. The Order will be effective from 9th November 2023 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Norris St, O'Leary St, Marsh House Ln, Orford Ln, Lythgoes Ln, Manchester Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out a bridge examination. Ref: 4083144
Liverpool Rd, Penketh (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Liverpool Rd (southeast bound traffic) from its jct. with East Ave to its jct. with Penketh Rd. The Order will be effective from 14th November 2023 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Liverpool Rd, St. Marys Rd, Heath Rd, Greystone Rd, Warrington Rd & Penketh Rd. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out chamber renewal works. Ref: 4104576
Moore Ave Segregated Footpath to Pickering Cres (Footpath Closure) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a footpath closure on Moore Ave Segregated Footpath to Pickering Cres from its jct. with Moore Ave to its jct. with Pickering Cres. The Order will be effective from 20th November 2023 for 4 weeks. The alternative route will be via Moore Ave, Stanton Rd, Pickering Cres & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to install new cables. Ref: 4160411
Mustard Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Mustard Ln from its jct. with Sandy Ln to its jct. with Lady Ln. The Order will be effective from 19th November 2023 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Delph Ln, Blackbrook Ave, Birchwood Way, Birchwood Park Ave, Warrington Rd, Common Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new water connection. Ref: 4291836
Park Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Park Ln from its jct. with Houghs Ln to its jct. with Firs Ln. The Order will be effective from 23rd November 2023 for 1 day. The closure is required to allow Openreach to carry out a telecom pole replacement.

Penkford Ln, Burtonwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Penkford Ln from its jct. with Collins Green Ln to its jct. with Thatchers Mount. The Order will be effective from 19th November 2023 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Pennington Ln, Newton Rd, Derbyshire Hill Rd, Broad Ln, Penny Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out a detailed bridge examination. Ref: 4293336
Quarry Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving & Suspension) Temporary Order 2023 The effect of which is as follows: Temporary Prohibition of Driving: Quarry Ln from its jct. with London Rd to its jct. with Windmill Ln; Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Quarry Lane) (One-Way) Order 2009 in its entirety. The Order will be effective from 22nd November 2023 for 1 day. The restrictions are required to allow Openreach to replace a damaged telecom pole. Ref: 4307036
The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 58) Order 2023 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 25th October 2023. The effect of the Order is as follows: -
1. The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation Order 2018, is hereby further varied or amended as follows: -
(a) In the 3rd Schedule by the deletion of: No waiting at any time: John St (North Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 13.3m in an easterly direction; John St (South Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Ashton St.
(b) In the 11th Schedule by the deletion of: No waiting between the hours of 8am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Saturday: John St (North Side) - From a point 13.3m east of its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Ashton St; John St (South Side) - From a point 13.8m east of its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Ashton St.
(c) In the 71st Schedule by the deletion of: No loading and unloading at any time:
John St (North Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 13.3m in an easterly direction; John St (South Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 13.8m in an easterly direction.
(d) In the 3rd Schedule by the addition of: No waiting at any time: John St (North Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Ashton St; John St (South Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 24m in an easterly direction; John St (South Side) - From a point 90m east of its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Ashton St.
(e) In the 65th Schedule by the addition of: Loading & unloading only bays, any time:
All that part of the southern kerb line of John St which is bounded on the south by so much of that highway as extends from a point 24m east of its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 66m in an easterly direction & which has a minimum width of 2.5m - Wholly within the limits of the loading bay & parallel to the kerb.
(f) In the 71st Schedule by the addition of: No loading and unloading at any time: John St (North Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St to a point 27m south west of its jct. with Ashton St; John St (South Side) - From its jct. with Winwick St for a distance of 24m in an easterly direction; John St (South Side) - From a point 90m east of its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Ashton St.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 25th October 2023, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
