Falstone, Temporary Bridleway Closure Due To Felling And Harvesting Operations

PARISH OF FALSTONE
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NUMBER 5 (TEMPORARY PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway No 5, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
From a point on the C200 road 40 metres northwest of the entrance to Matthew's Linn Car Park in a general south-westerly direction following Bloody Bush Road on the southern bank of the Lewis Burn for a distance of 2200 metres to the junction with Public Footpath No 7, 65 metres south-east of The Forks.
There is an alternative route available from a point on the C200 road 310 metres north-west of the entrance to Matthew's Linn Car Park in a general westerly direction, north of the Lewis Burn and the Akenshaw Burn, for a distance of 4820 metres to a point 200 metres east of Akenshawburn.
The Order is to be effective from the 30th October 2023 until the 30th January 2024.

The closure has been requested by Forestry England in the interests of public safety to enable felling and harvesting operations.
